Since you said that, I asked my wife that question "When do stores start Back-To-School sales?". She agreed that they usually start shortly after the 4th.

Makes me feel better that the displays will be out shortly after the 4th.

Keep an eye out for those displays...

I've already seen stores setting up Back to School stuff. I was at Toys R Us, the other day, and they were already reorganizing their summer stuff and putting out back-to-school displays in their place. School may not start until August, but stores will have displays leading up to it so people can go ahead and get their supplies (you don't want to wait until the last minute, do you?). The biggest sales are weeks before school starts. For stores, everything is based on season. Once the 4th of July is over, their next event to promote sales for is back-to-school. Even if they don't have sales, yet, they're getting rid of their 4th of July inventory, so they replace it with back-to-school. When school starts back in August, the displays will be replaced with Halloween, then Christmas, then Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Memorial Day (for some stores), summer merchandise, then back-to-school, again. That's pretty much the order, and once one ends, they will immediately put out the next, even if it's pushing something a month or two away. Sometimes you may even see back-to-school stuff right after Christmas, for kids going back after the holiday break. It's not made as big of a deal as the one in late summer, but it gives stores something for January until Valentine's Day stuff comes in. Though many stores put out Valentine's Day stuff right after Christmas.

like the last contests theyve done. think it will be easy to win on this one too? the only contest i never did was the fright rider one. all the other ones i won at least once. everyone should post if they win. and find strategy so that all of us that want one get one.

Is the app working for anyone? Mine just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning... so I backed out eventually and tried again but it said I'd already played lol. This seems like it's going to be a pain.

Stores usually start now for back to school, because some people start right when august starts. I start August 6th soo.

Was able to play, but unable to win. It reads, "Bummer," on the screen and Hot Dog looks all sad when you lose.

They're giving away less Hot Dogs than they did QDRS. Also, there are some folks who won one QDRS and were done - with no guarantee of which color Hot Dog you'll get, folks will have to try to win as many as they can to increase the chances they can get "set". Also, depending on how you look at it, it was easier to play infinitely with the QDRS promo - which meant you could virtually keep playing until you win - but also meant everyone else could as well. With Hot Dog, you're a bit more limited on how often you can play (but, again, so is everyone else)...

According to what I've found, they're giving away MORE Hot Dog figures than Quickdraw Rattle Shakes. 5,856 vs. 5,664. But I do agree with your assessment that it'll be harder to get with 3 variations and everyone trying to get them all, if not more than one of each color.

Sorry - I should have clarified - I was taking the number of Hot Dogs and dividing it by three - running under the assumption that each one will be created in equal quantities. You are correct though - the TOTAL amount of Hot Dogs is greater than the amount of QDRS'. They're running the Hot Dog promo for two additional days over the QDRS promo.

It seems to me that you can enter multiple times in a day, at least, using different e-mails. I did a scan and entered my information. Of course, I didn't win anything, but I clicked the "You could win Fire Bone Hot Dog Figure" at the top of the screen and it let me enter my information, again. I decided to change my e-mail address, just in case, but it went through. Again, I didn't win, so I can't say for sure that it's not rigged to automatically make you lose if you try to enter again. But it does seem to let you enter again.

Bummer. Got it to work and tried a few different emails, all didnt win.

How did you get it to work? Mine still keeps spinning... this is annoying.

Mine wasn't scanning it at all, but I held the phone straight up and down and was farther away from it and then it scanned. You can try turning your phone off and on again maybe.

Just in case anyone is gonna download those coupons, it looks like there might be a mistake. On the single figure one, its says "offer valid on Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack ONLY"...they just copied the same text from the starter pack coupon. I wonder if anyone will have problems redeeming it lol

Did you get an email when you won or was it just a winning screen on the app that had you fill in your information?

I WOOOOON!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! It gives you a winning screen then takes you to a form to fill out on your phone. Once you submit the form you can click "share" and capture an image of the winning screen.

im going to go ahead and guess that the app only lets you enter once a day. (i tried using a different email and it said i wasnt eligible or that id entered too many times)
the blippar app seems to run like crap. my crappiest android phone crashes instead of loading.
so if i have 2 devices, and 2 phone numbers, i can do 4 entries a day.. i dont like those odds. looks like ill be resorting to the 2-5am time slots for all my enteries

i just won using the app on my ipad. it was the 4th email address i used so you can still win by using different e-mail addresses on the same device. I still cant get the app to work on my phone tho. i keep getting the black screen with the spinning circle.

It was almost instant. It said "hold while I check to see if you're a winner" then came right back "congratulations!". Yeah, there's a bunch of stuff you have to listen to prior to the actual entry, but it's worth it if I can get my kids a free Hot Dog

As for entering information, it's just like the Flocked Stump Smash contest call-in if you remember that one. Give your name, spell the last name, verify via playback of your recording, give city, spell city, verify via playback, etc etc etc.
It took longer to give the information than to actually listen to the rules at the beginning of the call. Especially since my wife was half asleep and misspelled our city and had to re-do it.

Same here. They must've realized that we were all cheating.

Is everyone getting blocked with multiple email addresses now? I haven't tried since I won, but I did notice it would sometimes block it and sometimes work yesterday. I doubt they really changed it unless it's happening consistently to everyone now.

I was soo tired yesturday working 3 shifts i completely forgot it was the 7th. Guess i'll go play today when i get home.
