Shut up and take my money that I was going to spend on REAL TOYS! In all seriousness, these things will get annoying PRETTY fast. That, and I'm pretty sure they will have issues with translation. No doubt about it! Also, Monsters, Unicorns and Dragons are a bit more than just "animals".

They'd probably say something that rhymes like Duck or Spit.

Skylanders Spyro adventure came out in 2011 which means I was 13 at the time. (Do note I turn 17 on the 15th of July this year)
13 is barely a "kid" in my eyes (kinda inbetween kid and teenager)

When I was a kid we had some actual good shows on TV and while we didn't have skylanders, we did have other good quality stuff (at the time) to put our cash into.

Anyone remember Super Robot Hyperforce Monkey Squad Go? That was amazing (Unlike the newer stuff on TV).
And we didn't have so much cheap toys for ordering from TV, we actually WENT to the store to buy toys.

No, being a kid makes TV shows look good when in reality they suck. I used to like the original Power Rangers but when I rewatched it I realized how cheesy and bad the original was. You bought cheap toys at the store. Just because your parents had sex before others doesn't mean that you are better.

Ok, a few things.

One, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Legend of Korra, heck EVEN THE NEW NINJA TURTLES are good shows that came out fairly recently. Not all shows from this era are complete pieces of crap! Just like not all shows from YOUR era were great!

Two, and this is a big one, PEOPLE STILL GO TO TOY STORES! I go to Toys R Us all the time and see kids wanting a new action figure and/or Lego set! You can't tell me that one commercial proves that toy stores were going extinct! Why do you think Toys R Us is in such good business? Oh yeah, because people still value buying their toys and collectables from a store!

this so much. It really irritates me when people say they think nothing from this decade is good just because it isn't like what they had. Yes, toys like this are really stupid, but they're a small part of an entire industry.

Good shows vs Bad shows, the quantity of bad shows get higher and higher. (Especially when they make less quality versions of older shows)
Also I didn't meant that people don't go into stores to buy toys, it is just I am always seeing some sort of stuff animal toy thing commercial on TV .

fair point. Though that certainly doesn't mean we had our share of many bad shows as well. And when we have good shows today, we have REALLY GOOD shows. Look at the success of shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Legend of Korra. It balances out.

Uh you do know I wasnt much of a "90s" kid right? If you even bothered to go to my profile you would see I was born in 1997. Meaning I didnt get much years to enjoy the 90s (not years I would remember anyway).
Also I actually looked back on a few animes from my childhood once and they are still good. (Yeah I was an anime kid, deal with it)
