I read the book in the first year of high school. I didn't feel a connection or identify with any of the characters, so I didn't care.

"Flowers for Algernon" and "Of Mice and Men" on the other hand...

I only read OMAM, but I read a bit of Flowers in 8th grade. And yeah, both of those are very sad.

But about Bridge, I watched it when I was little so I didnt really get it, and then
teh death
was so sudden that I only responded with, "woah."

When I was a lot younger my family tried to watch the movie for a "movie night" or something... It scared me a lot for some reason, (I couldn't even finish the movie) and now I can never see the movie again or read the book. e.e

As for Bridge to Terebithia, the book sounds good but the movie is really flawed.

You should spoiler it at the part where you start the "I watched it" because it's spoiler worthy :3

Flowers for Algernon

I remember that book, I had to read it in my 8th grade textbook. We also watched a film of it. Really touching, the only thing I didn't like was having to hear what my classmates said about it.

but i love it all smooth

That's basically how I felt after reading The Book Thief... and Tess of the d'Urbervilles... and Tamar... and The Fault In Our Stars...

I never saw or read Bridge to Terabithia, so...

Who READS anymore? I sure don't! I only read books if it's required for school. I did read Flowers for Algernon, though! And I watched BTT and forgot about it the next day.

I'm pretty sure the main reason everyone hates that movie is cause they advertised it as basically Narnia, and so as a kid I got all excited to see this cool fantasy story about some kids, only for it to be them basically tripping on acid and unexpectedly drowning.

I wish I could have said that to my english teacher when I was 15. I was slowly starting to develop depression when I was 14, but I swear english class that I had every day, gave it to me gift-wrapped. Those I've kept in contact with say they still don't want to think about that class.

You don't want to hear about the movie "The Black Balloon" which we watched after reading those two books. I was incredibly lucky I was sitting at the back of the classroom with no one next to me that day. It was painful...
