Oh cool! I'll check the site now to see what time the contest winners get announced. I bet it's Flip Wreck since there wasn't a pre-determined name for him.

I'm hoping it's Flip Wreck. He has the most clever name of the group in my opinion.

Guys, all evidence points to the winner being Flip Wreck by default...

I don't know if I want it to be Flip Wreck or not.
I like him, so if he makes it, I'll probably buy him.
If he doesn't make it, I'll be disappointed but save $10.

High Five seems to be more interesting to me as a character.

I must agree. High Five does seem to be the most intriguing new character.

1) He is the fourth yet the second Life dragon hybrid.
2) He is the first winged Life Skylander.

There are certain things I like about all 3 of them.....


Bat Spin- ABSOLUTELY EPIC DESIGN!
Flip Wreck- Best name IMO
High Five- .....I guess there's nothing I like about this guy....It may just be my hate of bugs, but I dont think he's that cool...

I just DONT want Batspin to win, so they can reuse her later with the original name attached to her img file - Frightengale. I'm meh on the other two.

I despise when people say this, BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL ALL BE IN THE GAME OR NOT.

Winner, winner, winner! Maybe.

So tell me, what is the contest about? I hear it's about the only one that will make it but I'm confused.

My thoughts

High Five: Nice design, decent name, decent backstory
Bat Spin: Brilliant design, subpar name, subpar backstory
Flip Wreck: Decent design, great name, absolutely horrendous "backstory", if that even qualifies as one

If only the winner becomes a figure, I want Bat Spin to win.
If all become figures, I want Flip Wreck to win, assuming they delete the pathetic excuse of a backstory and write a new one.
However, I do think High Five is going to win, as he's the best all-rounder.

Either way, I won't be too disappointed or outraged.

It says in the rules that the contest winners would be "notified" on or by June 25th, not that they'd reveal the names.

10. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified on or about June 25, 2014 by mail, phone and/or email. Winners will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, Assignment Agreement and, where lawful, Publicity Release within ten (10) days of prize notification.

We already know the name of the winners. We just do not know what place they came in.

The three Skylanders Trap Team hero finalist names and their fan-submitted inspirations (in alphabetical order by hero name) are:

"Bat Spin," submitted by Kimberly Josey from Charlotte, N.C.

"Flip Wreck," submitted by Noel Foster from Clearwater, Fla.

"High Five," submitted by Phylicia Nakamoto from Elk Grove, Calif.


It seems like the winners will be notified, but I do not think it will be made public till later this year.

...But seriously, I kind of hope for High Five.

So I see the three people above, and I notice they picked all girls. With talk about the idea of how Skylanders is a "boy's game", I wonder if they tried to pick three girls in an attempt to prove people wrong. I kind of hope so, because I can't imagine "Bat Spin" was chosen based on it being both the best and the most creative name.

I'm just saying, since they admitted that they heard there was more of a want for girl characters so they tried to make more girl Skylanders this year... Some people say Skylanders is a boy's game, so it's a good PR move to try and disprove it with a girl winner... just a thought.

I think skylanders is a boys & girls game but more boys.

I assumed Noel was a boy.

Well, (I'm about to break my thing about leaving, but oh well) I honestly think, that if they spent all that time on making these three characters, do you believe that they'd let that go to waste? I'm sure all three of these are in the game, ready to be named, and voila! One of them will be chosen by people! Whoopee!

SG: Earth (Flashwing)
SSF: Air (I consider Pop Thorn a dragon-like skylander)
STT: Life (High Five/Buzzerker(default name))

There are TONS of humanoid dragons even from the same franchise like Red and Vathek.

Red is from the Spyro franchise. Vathek is from the Skylanders one.

Red isn't humaniod, and yes Drek he does show up in SSA, just under the name Flavius
