I was thinking more along the lines of a dog or cat. I want another four legged fighter. If not then I want mewtwo back. With two different forms, one is mega x other is mega y.

The only game where he was a starter was Melee. He wasn't announced before the Japanese release of Brawl. Why would he be this time?

He's one of the original 12, there is no reason to believe he will be cut.

Be patient, guys. Yoshi's one of the original 12 and one of the biggest names they have and he wasn't showcased until way later, they're probably just holding on to him for a later date. My bet is we may get another Smash Direct about a mont before the 3DS version releases to generate hype and show him there.

The main reason why he wasn't announced was because there was no F-Zero during the time.

The reason why I think the Captain and, to more of an extent, Wario haven't been shown is because they might have a slight redesign like Ike, Yoshi, Bowser, and Zero Suit did. It's just my theory though.

Pic of the day. Some of the physical characteristics of Miis get carried over when you use them as Mii Fighters. The smaller ones become speed fighters and the bigger ones are more akin to power fighters.

OMG. Shortest, skinniest brawler=Sonic. Also, I'm making a super short super skinny swordsman. Because. I have a Levi mii... I'll probably make him a tall skinny swordsman. Then I'll make my Petra mii the short skinny swordsman. Attack on Titan references. No one gets them.

Hey, there is a new Star Fox in development. That means there is SOME hope for F-Zero.

With Japan getting the game on September 13th and significant veterans still out there (Ness, Jigglypuff, Falco, Falcon, Wolf, Wario, Meta Knight, etc.) I expect a few to remain secret until the release date or after.

Meta Knight isn't really a significant veteran, neither is Wolf...

That depends on your point of view. I'm pretty sure they are coming back, especially with the Lucario, Ike, Toon Link trio returning. They are significant enough to their series to the point that it's unlikely they will be cut (in my opinion of course).

Edit: A suggestion:

When the game reaches the fastly approaching 50th page maybe it should be split into two topics - for 3DS and Wii U.

Why do I say this? Well, the Nintendo 3DS's topic would explode upon release, and we might have to make more topics before "for Wii U" releases. They technically are separate games with the same characters anyway.
