Out of all the games I plan on purchasing next year I have 225$ plus tax to pay.

August: Smash4 3DS (40$)
October: Trap Team (75$ not counting any additional figures I may want)
November: Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and Smash4 Wii U (2 payments of 40$ and a payment of 60$ all on the same day)

I dont know when Fossil Fighter Frontiers come out but I am hoping it isnt near the release date of all of these

For those thinking "you dont need both pokemon versions", yes I do. I use them to transfer version exclusives and use one for Windlock
For those thinking "why get both smash4 versions?" I have my reasons. Mainly because I am getting it day 1 and I need the Wii U version for the yearly smash tournament I have at my house on Thanksgiving.

I'd say you save one of those for Christmas, or get one version of Pokemon at launch and the other at a later date.

Trap Team: MCinder is also in it (a relative of mine who plays it at our house all the time)
Smash 4 WiiU: I already discussed why, I am pretty sure that my relatives don't want the yearly smash tournament canceled (Thank goodness I got brawl to work on the day they came, when they left it kinda just stopped working for good.)


The rest already have cash put down on them and I already plan on purchasing day 1.

See most of them above, and also getting 1 Pokemon version will mess up my walkthrough (using both Treeko and Mudkip) if I don't get them at the same time.

Also I don't receive Christmas gifts anymore. I only get them from friends (who don't even know I am a gamer and hate Pokemon/Skylanders/etc in general) or my girl friend if I have one at the time (Currently single but a lot can happen over a summer if you know what I mean )

Smash is one thing, but you don't need both Pokemon versions.

If you feel like this is going to be killer on your wallet, suck it up and buy only one version. Also take it easy on the Skylanders.

And as I said before, my planned team depends on me getting 2 versions. (Because I highly doubt someone is going to give me their treeko's/mudkip's mega stone when they games just came out.

You can probably put off Trap Team for a bit. Since the figures come at different times and later in the year there's $10 coupons for the starter packs of the latest Skylander games that you can get from Frito lay and other promotional supporters (like McDonalds.).

EDIT: Ninja. I would, in your position, cancel the preorder, you don't need the measly exclusive, and wait to get a nice discount. And why do you need Smash day 1?

MCinder wants it day 1 though which is the problem. We aren't likely to get any new figures while wave 1 is going on (Unless they make a series 2 of wind-up which is unlikely) since it does come with 2 traps and a trap master aka the gimmicks already. We are planning on just playing catch up later

If you aren't getting extra figures, then I guess it's fine.

On topic: I don't think you need exclusives. Exclusives are usually the death traps anyways.

How about preorder OR/AS at Gamestop, pay off both first, then focus on paying off SSB.
