Same as the last Skylanders day. Trade in offers when you trade in towards Trap Team. The usual sidekick giveaways,Swap Force on sale, accessories on sale nothing to go crazy over.

If there is a trade in bonus there, it'd be nice to know ahead of time if there will be anything worthwhile as their preorder bonus. I enjoy doing the preorders with them since I can get trade in credit and give them money slowly over time, but so far the only place that looks like a decent bonus is Target.

I thought Polar Whirlwind was released last year around this time at GameStop...wasn't it part of Skylanders Day? GameStop seems to have been kicked off the exclusive bandwagon ever since they got Polar Whirlwind other than the dark starter pack. I haven't stepped foot inside a Gamestop in ages...charging an extra dollar or two for Skylanders and lack of attractive sales is a dealbreaker for me. Having a Skylanders Day or something similar a few times a year is nothing compared to the regular plethora of sales you see from Toys R Us and other retailers (which also have a better selection and assortment of Skylanders). Management and the sales team higher up in the chain of command at GameStop headquarters seems to put forth no effort to drive sales of Skylanders or in appealing to more budget conscious gamers.

They are the ONLY brick and mortar store giving you the option to pre-order Gear Shift. Not to mention the fact that they are the ONLY store with the Skylanders Club benefits, giving you $10 off any Skylander when you buy 6. Seems like your hate of Gamestop is just you blowing smoke because it's the cool thing to do.

Seems like somebody really likes Gamestop! Their customer service is a joke & varies greatly from location to location. Ever look up their customer service ratings online? They're absolutely pitiful. Facts don't lie....Google GameStop customer service ratings. The Skylanders club they have is only free to paid members of the rewards club...and the so-called discount works out to a max 14.3% discount after you buy 6 figures...and that's only if you buy all 6 cores...throw in a lightcore or a swapper and that return decreases. At the end of the day, spending $60 plus tax at GameStop can get you 7 corelanders if you're a member of the club. Sales at other retailers easily outdo the 14.3% club discount and you don't have to wait until you buy 6 before you see some sort of return benefit. Also, other retailers take coupons without giving you any grief. Feel free to spend your money wherever you see fit dude...I see more bang for my buck and better selection elsewhere. I didn't realize there were such diehard Gamestop fanboys on these forums. By the way, Gear Shift is available to preorder on Amazon...it was posted in the forums here.

As for Toys R Us jacking up the price, Games Stop sells for the same price but never has BOGO40% or 50% like TRU.
As for the Skylander Club Buy 6 get one free, They never get 7 that I need before TRU gets me at least 2 or more at BOGO40% even with $1 more after you add up 7 figures it is still less.

Again, since when is Amazon a brick and mortar store? You won't have Gear Shift guaranteed without One Day shipping. Prime shipping is free two day and Prime itself is $99 for a year. Like I said in my earlier post Gamestop just had Buy Two Get One Free. The reason ToysRus has BOGO 40% off so often is because they have higher prices on Skylanders.

Also, getting negative comments does not make me mad. You guys are doing what my full intention was when I made those videos. And my original comment was not because of the fact that he dislikes Gamestop, but that fact that he was clearly wrong and doesn't know anything at all about specials and sales that Gamestop has for Skylanders.

The biggest issue with these special "days" is just that, it's a one day thing. Unless they do something extra with the trade in offer towards Trap Team then it's totally pointless.

They currently have a 30% extra trade in special going on where you get extra for trading towards games shown at E3. Trap Team is part of that offer.

It gives everyone a chance to get any sidekicks they missed but that's about it other than sales on accessories and figures.

I was busy today but I will call tomorrow and inform you guys. In the meantime I would advise you all to call your Gamestop and see if they know anything about Skylanders Day.
