Super Tuesday yesterday was for every chest to be a gold chest.

I initially groaned. The last time they had this, I didn't get a single chest all day. Yesterday was only a tiny bit better - one chest.

Even though I have lots of open spaces and checked my island frequently, trolls, sheep, and chompies were not to be found. Instead, I had more totems than I've ever seen before.

I'd like to hear a "success story" from someone who was able to find lots of gold chests yesterday!

I got something like 6 or 7 gold chests yesterday. Mostly sheep & troll camps, but also 1 from a chompy pod.

As an aside, I'm still at ZERO chests from trees (12-15 trees since I bought him). Duff = total fail.

Thank you - that's great to hear! I guess it was just luck of the draw, and yesterday was not my lucky day.

I've actually had about 8 or 9 chests from trees so far with Duff - just none of them yesterday.

I had 3 or 4, but I only got a chance to check once or twice. I think I had 3 of them when I checked in the morning, and I believe I was able to get another one sometime later in the day.

I had about 4 chests yesterday. None were gold, presumably because I don't have a Giant yet. I was actually glad I didn't get gold chests which would just take up space for an unknown amount of time (until I get a Giant). Also, that the chest draw reverted to silver instead of to non-existence.

I got 5-6 of them, but forgot to put giants in them. When I checked back the next day, they were all gone...

Seems to me this is exactly what happened the last time they did this type of event, which was last year some time. Lots of people lost 10-12 chests at midnight because there just weren't enough Giants to cover them all.

I forgot about that. I kept my giants free, this time, but at the end of the day, I was hoping for some more that I could just activate the next day. I forgot they disappeared last time, and I want to say that not all the giants were in the game, yet, so that could have really been a problem.

Yeah. I'm a bozo. I knew better but just forgot. At least I'm not hurting for gems like I was last time.
