Well, we have these two chase figures, but where's Bronze Trap Shadow? Did they get so few boxes of him that they were forced not to touch them?

That happened to me twice. Once on Monday, again last night. I finally got one this afternoon when it first came back up at 2pm. Honestly, I was shocked it lasted til almost 4pm! The only thing you can do is keep checking the site every hour or so until it comes back up again hopefully. That's what I did from about 11am today til I saw it up at 2pm. I called the 800 number when it happened last night and they told me that their report from the website maintenance department for this specific item stated that it was selling out as soon as they put it up, so it was everyone trying to buy at once that causes the weird glitches.

Well you're so lucky guys... It would be great if someone could get me one when it's back cuz I'm to Canada and I can't get one... Msg me I could pay.

Look I see something coming!!!! Acti is opening the flood gates to make all of the prices go down! Free sidekick minis at TRU 6-14-14 to the first 50 people and reissues of spyro adventure figures at Walmart for $4.96 and so forth soon rares will be able to picked up for a song and dance. I can't wait......

I doubt Activision would do that to the chase figures because it would lose the interest of collector's. If they became widely available they wouldn't be worth the "chase" anymore. Kinda like GITD figures from last year. I hope they don't pull that crap, cause then all my chase variants would be like garbage to me and not special anymore.

seriously?! That's messed up. The Wii U version is what made it worthwhile as a bundle. My receipt from my in store order even says Wii U on it.

Are you going to have gamestop exchange the Wii Starter pack for the Wii U version? Or does it not matter to you?
For me, it won't matter what version they send - since I already have the dark starter edition for Wii U. I'm planing on just selling/trading in the starter pack.

But if I didn't - and was getting it because I wanted the Wii U edition in addition to the figures, I would be a little mad.

Got It via UPS today and its for the WII not WII U !!

They're like "it's not showing up on any of the trucks, it could have been mis-sorted, we're still looking for it" and gamestop is like "sorry. there's nothing we can do unless it comes back in stock" ............................................

Well, it being the Wii version is not unexpected. They've been sold out of the WiiU Dark Edition forever. Mine was the only one that my Gamestop ever got in, but they got loads of them for the Wii. The Wii version has been on sale many times as they have tried to get rid of them. This bundle was obviously an effort to get rid of them at full price thanks to the two tasty carrots they attached to it. Someone obviously made a mistake of using the WiiU logo and int he text, the product image has the Wii version though.

Exactly my point a few posts ago. They begged Activision to give them spiffs so they can get rid of this dead stock...exactly right.

I kind of hope that's a joke, because that's a rather low thing to do. So somebody else should get stuck with two fakes just because you want to stick to Gamestop? If you don't like Gamestop then don't buy from them. Nobody twisted your arm to make you buy their bundle.

How much refund did they give you for the Dark Starter Kit?

Each piece is a separate item on the shipping receipt.
I would assume you get the full $99 if they are counting the two figures as regular priced Swappers. Which seems to be the case with the price of the whole bundle.

I took the shipping minus the return policy and copy of online order receipt. I got like 105.99 back on my credit card. I told them i wanted the wii u version which i thought i was getting. Not trying to scam them. I even called customer service with reference number to give gamestop clerk.

Mine came in, Doom was fine, Stink Bombs box is a little messed up, but oh well. Might return the Wii version seeing that I needed it for WiiU lol

It said Wii U, I was sent a Wii version. The store told me they don't blame me for returning it. I even called customer service and they told me if the store will take the return, let them.

I don't know if anyone else got screwed by Gamestop as badly as I have on this item, but after losing my package, they placed a new order for it while it was in stock on Thursday night and said everything was fine. Then on Friday morning I call to confirm, everything is fine. Two hours later I get an email saying my order has been cancelled. I call to see what happened and am told that the Order Verification department denied my order because I "already exceeded the maximum limit of 1 per household"

whaaaat?!?!?!?! I didn't get my order and now they've gone and cancelled my replacement order because their departments don't speak with each other and CS is a joke. Now all I get is "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do since the item is out of stock" ...... how about un-cancel my order?! what did you guys do with the item you pulled aside on Thursday night when my order was placed?!

ugh..... worst part is that when it did come back in stock I can't even place a new order online because the system still thinks I already ordered one and CS is always closed. Gamestop really is a four letter word. I feel like I should raise hell on their PR sites until Corporate decides to fix their screw up.... otherwise that is the first and last time I'll ever shop at Gamestop (which I've avoided like the plague until now).

When push comes to shove and you need to call their toll free number to speak to customer service, you realize how really bad & disorganized Gamestop customer service is. There was a period of 3 weeks last year when I had to get in touch with their customer service and was on hold for over 1/2 an hour before getting to speak with somebody...and then the person who finally answered made no attempt to help me out. It's as if they put some high school dropout with no customer service training whatsoever on the phones. I had initially tried emailing customer service and they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. Good luck trying to "raise hell" on their PR sites...their ratings already stink online if you happen to Google them. I've come to the conclusion that GameStop corporate just doesn't care about individual customers.

I really do feel sorry for you. I have never tried to order from Gamestop, but from the stories that I have heard, they are not great with customer service. I keep working up the nerve to order from there, but then I hear stories like that makes he hesitate again.

Know what the worst slap in the face is? They were able to refund the money for the bundle, but said they cannot refund the $14 I paid for overnight shipping and all they can do is send me a gift card for a store that I wouldn't shop in again even if hell froze over. When I asked to escalate it, corporate said I was also entitled to a corporate check to be sent for the shipping but they already issued a gift card so that's no longer available (though CS didn't mention anything about a check)..........

So I've been scammed in the sense that Gamestop made $14 off of me for an invisible product I don't have...................

Personally I think they're also breaking some sort of consumer law with the "bait and switch" false advertizing of it being the Wii U version and sending the Wii version. I really do think they could get in serious trouble for that. I'm positive there are laws to protect consumers from that type of marketing. Yet, it's still there.
