I think Pit is plenty for SSB4. It's one game people, we don't need the WHOLE CAST of character's in SSB.

I think Magnus should be in the game just so Ike can have a counterpart.

I would settle for Pit have a special taunt that results in Uprising's cast commenting on the battle, a la the Star Fox team and Snake's codec conversations. Seriously, with Sakurai basically writing all of Uprising, he could easily fit in some stuff. @.@

It may be great selling, but it certainly isn't a flagship like pokemon, zelda, mario, or star fox was back in the past.

Mario is THE nintendo franchise. it easily outnumbers the other's in terms of #'s of games, so why shouldn't it do the same with characters?

I dislike the Fox/Falco/Wolf thing, but they are almost the same character. With pokemon they're very diverse, and you don't feel you're playing as the same guy. Same with Kirby (though we do need a villain).

You KI:U fanboys really need to quit complaining (no offence) Pit had 2(?) games where Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Zelda, etc. Have had dozens just by themselves. If you want to play KI:U then go play KI:U, this is smash, not KI:U.

That's why I put a ? in brackets. I knew of two, but there, as you have stated, are more.

And don't get me wrong, I don't hate the franchise, I've never played it so I can't really, but just don't think we need to fill spots with KI characters when there are other, more viable options.

But there are character in Smash still appearing despite the series not being relevant. I mean, hello, EarthBound? Not hating on it, but just saying...

There literally is no reason to doubt there being a Kid Icarus newcomer. Sakurai made Uprising, Sakurai is making Smash. And he loves his own games. As I said, he's been teasing Palutena like crazy.

I don't think we'll get anyone beyond Palutena as a playable character. The only other character I'd like to see is Hades.

There is no need for Dark Pit to take up his own spot on the roster. Dark Pit's design was based off of one of Pit's alternate colours from Brawl as it was, he can be that again in Smash 4. Maybe just throw in his voice clips to make it more authentic. Dark Pit can literally do everything Pit can, so he doesn't need to take up his own spot.

Magnus also doesn't need to be playable either. He's too much like Ike (in fact, he's supposed to be a parody of characters like Ike - he's also ESPECIALLY too much like Ike since Ike has been buffed up in Smash 4 - Magnus and Ike have very similar bulids now), and he was a pretty insignificant part of Uprising. He was playable for one chapter, but he only had two moves - a generic sword swipe combo, and a kick attack. The other two chapters he appeared in were very brief instances. I'd take a Magnus assist trophy, though.

As for Mario characters, I think Rosalina is the last addition to the Mario cast for this game, unless we see DLC. I'm OK with Pokémon having a bunch of characters though, since there is so much to work with.

@Brawler: Dark Pit as an alternate costume is definitely doable. Considering Antony del Rio voices both Pit and Dark Pit, it's more than possible he can record lines as Dark Pit. I'm guessing that Smash Wii U, like Brawl, will use a specialized version of the Wii U optical disc for more storage. So they should be able to pack it full of stuff. But eh, I shouldn't assume anything. <.<

Actually, they won't need a specialised disc at all.

Brawl needed a specialised disc because of SSE. It was confirmed that like half of the disc space of Brawl was taken up by SSE's cutscenes, and that the game could fit on a regular Wii disc without them.

Smash 4 won't have a story mode, so it's not a worry. I know stuff like character trailers are being included in the game, but even with that, Wii U discs hold 25GB. It should be fine with a standard disc.

Will the charecters revealed at E3 be playable at smash fest?
