So I've been having chest pains lately. It's kind of a dull pain that turns into a sharp pain for a few seconds then dulls back down, and it repeats like that about every minute or so. Like yesterday it was hurting on the left side and kinda down my arm and now it's hurting on the right side. And I think it was last month, I was feeling very uncomfortable in my chest. I don't even know how to describe the feeling... it wasn't exactly pain, but it was very unpleasant and it made me nauseous and start to sweat a bit. It went away after a couple minutes, but I was seriously about to wake my parents up and tell them what was going on so they could take me to the hospital or something. I remember having a few small chest pains before that, but ever since then I've been getting them more often. I don't know if it's stress related or if I have a health problem...? Has anyone experienced it before or is anyone currently experiencing it? And does anyone maybe have some answers?

And yes I know I should be doing the research myself but I've tried and I can't really find anything that describes what I'm feeling. If it continues for another few days I'm gonna tell my mom about it, 'cause it's worrying me.

Update: I told my parents, and they said it's probably from me coughing a lot. I just got over a head cold and I've been doing some hardcore coughing, and my mom said I've always been a cougher anyway. I haven't really noticed, but thinking back it makes sense I guess. But they said we'll still keep an eye on it and may go get it checked out.

Thanks~

Are you sure these aren't cramps?

I think it's unusual. I never experience such issues, would recommend checking it out though.

I had this same problem a few years back and it sometimes happens at different times. I ended up having to go to the doctor and was hooked up to a machine to monitor my heart at one point. They told me I had a valve that was pushing blood in the wrong way and high blood pressure, I was supposed to go back and get hooked up to another machine but I never did it because it all stopped afterward.
Honestly I just went out and exercised a lot more and felt tons better. It also usually happens when I eat a lot of meat sometimes.

I wouldn't take what happened to me as what will happen to you, you should really check with the doctor. It can be just acid reflux, blood pressure, or something else. Getting it checked out would be your best bet, maybe start marking the days it happens to help when you do go to the doctor.

Yeah, maybe I'll tell her tomorrow.

Well I don't get cramps, unless I've been out walking or running, you know.
Apparently chest cramps are a thing and the description for that kind of fits what I'm feeling, but I'm not completely sure if that's it. Going to a doctor will be the only way to know for sure, I guess.

Oh jesus, I've been having something similar for a week now...the only difference is that it's pain like being hit by something and it's always on the left side of my chest, and feels like it's inside of it. It mostly hurts whenever my heart beats too, and sometimes it beats REALLY HARD, I can't even describe it. Sometimes it gets worse when I've talked for a while without stopping to breathe and then I have to stop and gasp in breath...but I guess that's irrelevant.

I'm not sure what's wrong, sorry...

I'm sorry to hear about that. You should really get that checked out. I hope it gets better soon smilie
