Ok, so my art teacher has been telling us we had an art final on these notes we took at the beginning of the year, and we had to know all the vocab & definition, it was 70 words jfc. I've been studying for a month and I know around 60/70 which was good enough for me. So, it comes yesterday and he decides to tell us it was a joke and that he's too lazy to grade them, he doesn't want to. What the ****? Is that even allowed? I honestly got mad, I was happy about not taking it, but I was mad I wasted an hour every day studying for something that will never come. I don't even have art next year, so it doesn't matter. So, what are your opinions?

We only get 10 iPads per class, and the art teacher doesn't get any, so...

He's the teacher, he can pretty much do whatever he wants when it comes to things like that. I do think it's pretty messed up, though. You don't tell students to study for something like that and then cancel it because "you don't feel like grading them." That's your job, don't be lazy and end up making your students suffer.

And lol my school never did the iPad thing. We could barely afford the computers we had, let alone iPads. I don't really see the point in having them, anyway. People way back when didn't use them in school, and they turned out just fine. I like technology and all, but it's making us lazy...

That's cool you're not taking the test to add onto the stress of other finals I assume you have, but I agree that's ridiculous if his only reason is laziness.

It is nice that you may have learned something that could potentially though doubtfully be useful later on in life, though at the same time what the teacher did is somewhat shameful. I could understand if the test didn't happen due to time constraints of the ending year or even some other random reason that remotly made sense, but simply because he was too lazy to grade it? Wow. Good job shirking your duties and being lazy at your job. He's getting paid to do this, and frankly if he's going to be a lazy *** who can't do his job, he should at least come up with a better lie of an excuse rather than bluntly saying he's a lazy ***.
