The saddest books I've read are: the whole Hunger Games trilogy, Where the Red Fern Grows, Bridge to Terabithia, the Warriors series; there are more that I can't think of yet.
What are the saddest books you have read?

Warriors is sad? :0
I just finished Night by Elie Wiesel. That was really sad and the bad thing is, it really happened. ;~;

Seriously this. It upset me so much I felt physically sick, I thought I was going to puke. Also The Maze Runner made me cry like a baby.

The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck And not really a book but a short story that I cannot remember its name. It was about a father who couldn't read and how he tries his best to care for and impress his son, but his inability to read often causes his plans to fail and embarrasses himself. It ends with his son being told his father has died from a heart attack, which leads him to discover an intact bottle of medication for his father's heart with a child lock lid and a label saying "push down and twist to open." ![]() High school just wants you to develop depression, now I know where my condition may have originated. |

I think The Book Thief is the only book that has ever really made me cry. Crying is an understatement, actually.
Umm, Night was rather sad. The Fault In Our Stars was, too. |

I have read such a small ammount of books in my life, that I can't even classify a "saddest" one.

Hmm
A Separate Peace is one of the only books I can think of that's ever managed to make me cry but it's also one of my favorite books ever written ovo

In my opinion My Sister Jodie is a sad book, as is The Illustrated Mum (although I find many of Jacqueline Wilson's books to be rather depressing)

The last book of the Alex Rider series is kinda depressing, but it's really unexpected.
