Hello all,
You all know we are down to the last few figures and I say that Jade Fire Kraken will be July 4th at Target? What are your thoughts if any? Thanks Trixster.....

You might be thinking of the Gold Fire Kraken. That was only given out to Beenox employees, I believe.

It was "Dev Team" Exclusive, so yes.

Jade Fire Kraken's release all depends on if they want to have it for a specific event. Kickoff Countdown is coming out May 18th, and there's no holiday on that day (although, there IS Lag BaOmer, a Jewish holiday apparently, although its unrelated to the release.

The next closest thing I would guess would be for Labor Day (Sept 1st..my birthday! lol) or Columbus Day (Oct. 13th). I would have my doubts about them doing something for Independence Day, although that would be neat.

There are still a few Chinese holidays coming soon, such as:

Dragon Boat Festival (May 31st - June 2nd)

June Solstice (June 21st)

And a few others over the stretch of Summer, although these probably have no importance in the US.

oooo, the solstice. Im down for that!

I'm just speculating, but I think that Jade Fire Kraken was supposed to already have been released, but was delayed for some reason.

The character became available in the Lost Islands game back in December, and new characters in that game tend to release very closely with the real world toy releases. Jade Fire Kraken has been pretty much the only exception I think. Even Quick Draw Rattle Shake figures began to arrive just a few weeks after he appeared in Lost Islands to the people that won the Frito-Lay promotion.

Maybe Jade is going to be this summers Frito Lay contest giveaway. All you have to do is have an email and buy 100 bags of chips and enter every 10th bag and see if you win one on every 10 minutes of the hour. That would be a great time....

I hope it doesn't come out July 4th, going to a concert in Philadelphia to see Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. < 33333

I don't think Jade Fire Kraken is going to be a store exclusive. I just checked my old Brady Games SSF Strategy Guide, and he is not listed as an ALT DECO figure (only enchanted, nitro, dark figures are listed). In the past guides, Jade Flashwing (and other store exclusives) were publicly designated as ALT DECO. This leads me to believe JFK might be a Frito lay promotion. After all, Quick Draw Rattle Shake does not appear in the guide. I don't think this would be an employee exclusive either--they already released Gold Fire Kraken, and I highly doubt they would create 2 employee exclusives of the same character.
My guess? Frito Lay promotion, or maybe a pre-order exclusive.

I would rather him be a preorder bonus rather than another Frito Lay disaster. Those last two were ridiculous and I'd rather wait until the new game to finish the Swap Force collection than deal with that Frito Lay crap again.

This is how i feel! LMAO.

I really doubt he will coincide with a holiday. Most likely just a regular release at some point in June. I'm hoping no store exclusives are involved, especially not if it is Walmart. I'd like to cap off this year's collection without the frustration of dealing with Walmart's irregular shipping and stocking.

I don't want to bum anyone out and please take this information with a grain of salt, but I was at TRU this AM picking up KC and I was talking to one of the sub managers about Skylanders and how it takes so long for them to get all of the figures out and how KC is the 2nd to last to come out. I said to her that JFK was the last one and she *volunteered* that TRU corporate had told her that he will be coming out "sometime in the fall". *Heavy Sigh* :-( This reinforces the "bonus with Trap Team" theory.

I told her that they will probably get stuck with a million of them like LC Hexes and she agreed.

I also asked her if she had that "coming out in the fall" in writing and she said that she did, but was not interested in showing me. :-\

Again, please take all of this info with a grain of salt, but it could be true, unfortunately.

Well since we are already seeing these overseas...I tend to doubt that they will not be seen in the US before fall.

I wont wait until fall for JFK! I will do like I did with LC Hex and buy it from over seas and have it early. I had LC Hex June 20th last year from overseas and if I have to with JFK I'll do the same....

We saw LC hex coming out overseas spring.summer last year and the US didnt get her till Swap Force came out in the fall.

Maybe he is a Acti giveaway first you have to peoorder Trap Force, when you pick up trap force you have to fight a few levels and when you run into do battle against JFK you have to beat him and capture him in the Jade crystal after you caught him you have to mail the crystal to Acti and once they see you have caught him you will have him shipped to your house for free but they keep the Jade crystal that you caught him in and the Jade crystal becomes the rarest most sought after skylander item ever because there are only 17226 Jade crystals available...... So you better get your peorders picked up before the 17226 Jade crystals run out and they will all be gone like JFK. LOL
