Hello all, someone in one of the skylanders groups i am a part of on facebook has revealed that Doom Stone has a street date of May 13th.
I asked her for a source and she posted a picture saying

"This is my sheet that I get at work everyday updating new products coming to the store and what the street date is"

Indeed the pic showed that Doom Stone was listed for the 13th
I'm going to try to post the link to the pic, if that doesnt work can i email it to someone who can post it? I'm not part of any photo sharing sites <.<

Ah I was just coming to post the same thing lol. I heard from a friend at TRU that they were being held till the 13th as well.
Pretty nice to hear of a date for him though. Here's to hoping we'll get some info on Jade Fire Kracken shortly as well.

You can't buy most of those items at toys r us. So thank god I don't have to go there to get him. This must be walmart or target. I'm sure if TRU gets them they will release him sooner and we might get him in stores not employed by scalpers. Mine is so I don't go to tru except exclusives and I never go to gamestop bc they are even worse.

If I had to guess this is bestbuy. I can confirm its not walmart. All of the other items are listed on bestbuy.com so I'm going to assume this is their sheet she is holding but I'm sure he will be everywhere on that date.

They didnt say anything about it being store exclusive, but this is from a TRU employee. The pic shown is the list folded in half. They posted another pic of it unfolded and at the bottom it shows that this is a TRU list and provides instructions on which bays street dated items should be scanned into. Trust me the Dyson products made me skeptical too (i thought maybe BRU products?) but the rest of the list is pure toys lol lots of Maleficent toys <.<

Lol I had no idea vacuum cleaners were considered toys. My toys r us doesn't sell anything like that. Nice to know though where the paper came from. When tru gets things early I don't even bother unless it's exclusives like legendaries. TRU can have this guy for 60 days before other stores and I'll gladly wait as long as other stores will eventually get him. I did get the easter ones and LC bumble blast from TRU because I was staying at my fiancees house and she lives less than a mile from the store. Normally I do not go out of my way to shop there though. They always price stuff more than any other store, the employees their suck and they charge way to much for shipping online. I'm sure some stores are great for some areas. I just despise my local TRU and stay away as much as possible.

So...There are toys r us that sell vacuum's?
I never knew that. Excited about doom stone.

i'm sure dyson can forgive the employee for showing the release date of those hard floor multisurface wipes. i know there's gonna be a ton of people lining up for those

Strange that Doom Stone is listed as it's own SKU and not part of a wave with other figures. Could it be a limited time store exclusive or are they going to release him separately? With the talk that some stores are starting to rescan everything as an individual SKU, I wonder if Activision is changing the way they release figures. I doubt it, but you never know.

Pretty sure that he'll be in an assortment with (at least) several Stink Bomb and Trap Shadow (due to them having chase variants).

If I were to bet on it, I'd say the assortment will include Fire Kraken, since they likely had to make some for the eventual Jade Fire Kraken. Not to mention Fire Kraken has always been one of the harder to find ones.

finally....

My only concern with this list is the fact that the text is in different sizes and some in caps and some not. it also looks like the Skylanders part at the end is underlined. which nothing else is. I'm not denying the legitimacy of this info at all just giving my two cents. Looks like it could have been Photoshopped or typed up and printed off with incorrect info. I'll be glad if it is the correct date. My son has been none stop about him. lol

I'll be finding out if this is real tomorrow.

I called my TRU to have them confirm and they looked in their database and said he is listed for release on May 13th!!

I'll probably be waiting until Tuesday as well. Even if he is out in Walmarts on the west coast, it's usually at least a week before they manage to trickle all the way to where I am, right on the east coast. I got so fed up with the Walmarts in my area that I have absolutely no desire to do any of that again.

Is it usually just Wal-mart that breaks the release date? is there any point in looking at targets or toysrus?

I live in Florida so i feel your pain!

I'm not in any hurry either. I'll eventually get him and for retail price so whatever. I'm just going to be glad to be done with this collection. I sold all my variants and I'm no longer collecting them. I realized how stupid and how big of a waste of plastic variants are. It's not necessary and it could be 10, 20 or 100 years from now the value on them will never be as high as it is now. They didn't do much but sit on the shelf, I'll never make an investment on a variant ever again.

Yeah, but Trap Shadow and Freeze Blade were also released on a weekday. A Thursday to be exact.

Got mine today. Cali.
They had 3 boxes on a cart with the movies.
No Trap Shadow in the boxes that I could see.
It comes with 2 Stink Bombs, 2 Freeze Blades, 1 Fire Kragen, 1 Knight Shift, 1 Rumble Rouser I believe the other 1 was Spy Rise.
And the rest was Doom Stone.
