The guy had been on the site for just over a month before the Moderator Applications opened up and he somehow got picked.... It was very clear that dark52 just picked names out of a hat. I like all of the mods, but a few like GillGrunt, It'sJustMe, and Matteomax really should not have been picked. All of the other mods do a great job in my opinion. I'm not saying they couldn't be good mods (GillGrunt and Matteomax), but they need to learn how to use their power effectively stay non-bias, and not use it for personal disputes.

Which pretty much depletes the entire point of having mods in the first place.

Exactly. dark52 should get rid of the few mentioned mods that clearly don't know how to do it and replace them with a few users who could actually do it properly.

Problem is: he's promised not to make these mistakes again, and then breaks his promise.......and then he promises he won't do it again, and then he breaks his promise again.

i've seen him post every once in a while.

he doesn't post much so he probably doesn't receive the mass of angry letters.

I completely agree with you, but he should still expect constructive criticism.

Notice I said constructive, which doesn't mean biting his head off and/or calling him names.

I agree. Constructive criticism helps people learn, but a constant stream of insults just makes people angry or depressed.

yeah i believe there was this one time where matteomax posted a topic, which had a link to some ROM, however the topic was shortly deleted afterward

the forum rules CLEARLY state "Don't post links to illegal material." so if im not mistaken matteomax should have already gotten a swift ban

There were no links on that topic, and that was quite a while ago. I deleted it myself.
