I really like Funny Bone, he's a cool character despite being unoriginal. So, why do people hate him so much, as evidenced by the forum's reaction to him and the poll results, where even Wildfire outnumbered him.

I guess some people have a bone to pick with him!

It might be because looks more or less like a skeletal version of Hot Dog. Idk, I'm just loving Chopper too much to care about Funny Bone.

It's a case of that nobody dislikes him, it's just he's nobody's number one. People that like cute Skylanders prefer Chopper and Food Fight. Ranged will go for Snap Shot. The people that like "cool" Skylanders will vote for Wallop or Wildfire. I bet if you were to ask everyone to make a rank of the characters, Funny Bone would be near the top of most people's, just not number 1.

Not as original.

Gonna be harder and harder to bust out fresh original Skylanders.

I'm surprised their kicking out as many new ones as they are.

I personally think he's great

"Hate" is a strong word, people just prefer a different character over him. Also, you did provide a reason for people to not like Funny Bone... Unoriginal. Not that I necessarily agree with you, it just seems odd because you said it yourself.

There's hate for him? Talk about judging a book for its cover.
I'm okay with him, even if he becomes a combination of Fright Rider and Hot Dog,as long as it's not blatant. But I probably won't get even close to buying him unless he has some crazy cool moveset.

haven't seen many people hate him, I think he's alright, nothing special to me, but it's not like Wildfire, stupid all gold ugly lion who could be so cool if he just had color variance

I think he's adorable so I'm happy with him. I don't play PVP at all so I'm fine with characters being "just ok" if they're cool looking.

Even if he is a skelly version of hot dog he looks cool and I'm ok with it if hot dog aint coming back and we get this guy with a unique move-set/ In the end its better then a repose.

I love Funny Bone! He and the Dragonfly are my faves. I think he is more underrated than hatted. Unlike SSF I haven't found a character who is hated.

Funny Bone sort of looks like Spyro's skeletal form without wings. If he were a dog, then why does he have draconic horns and the glowing pointed tip of his tail?

I am excited for Funny Bone!!! My wife loves hot dog, so I am super excited to run around skylands with Hot Dog and Funny Bone!!! The key is making their move sets different enough so that they feel like completely different characters. Cannot wait!!!

I thought those were ears, and his tail is a mystery. However, it's also my favorite part of his design.

I love funny bone, i was so excited when i saw him in the video. I dont like food fight personally. and i like the other ones. They have to look like animals for me to really like them.

His design is pretty bare bones. It doesn't help that with Chop Chop and (to a lesser extent) Fright Rider, we already have plenty of skeletons in the closet as it is. Hopefully there'll be some meat to his gameplay to prove otherwise.

I like Funny Bone! We finally get a cute undead guy! Cant wait for him.

I really love funny bone. Of the corelanders we've been shown so far, Funny Bone and Chopper and my favorites, with Snap Shot right behind. Like you, I'm not that crazy about food fight, but we'll see how he plays!

You may be surprised what they salvage from other characters...it's much easier to support a character moving forward if there's similar visual/effects as other current characters.

Wildfire has gotten far more hate, Funny Bone is, as many have pointed out, just sorta in between.

For me, he's a cool-looking figure, but not really a favorite.

You could say the exact same thing for any other fauna-based Skylander. I mean, really, look at Fryno.

He doesnt look like a Rhino either xD or Free Ranger he doesnt look like a Chicken either, Freeze Blade doesnt really look like a cat for me Bash doesnt look like a dragon.

Funny Bone is cool, i just don't like the fact that he completely looks like a Dragon.... how is he even a dog.. look at the tail and horns thats a dragon

They shouldn't have made him a dog, I'm still gonna get him since he's awesome to me, but they should've gotten a little more original, he looks hella fun to play though. Wallop and wildfire are meh to me, the fire lightening has me interested a little though. I've been waiting for someone like Snap shot, I've always wanted a crocodile/alligator skylander. Torch looks cool, food fight is ok, but Chopper? Love him to death, if he isn't out in the first wave I'm gonna cry. His idea is ingenious, it's so friggin cool!

Really? Dino-Rang has a more pushed-in snout that is absolutely contrary to a crocodile. He also is bipedal (like Snapshot) but his back is within the range of 160 degrees and 180 degrees, while Snap Shot is more hunched over and has a more pronounced snout. Additionally, Dino-Rang is an earthen dinosaur (officially) while Snap Shot is water element, correlating more with a crocodile's nature.
