And I can see extras of the sword/arrow and one of the hammers. Swapping weapons?

Although if those bases really are red...

Agreed. While I won't quit Skylanders, I won't be purchasing blind bags, especially just for weapons.

Count me in too. All the new characters, only the "Ranger"'s original weapons. Even if there are vehicles, just a single one for the eventual open world area.

Speaking about the gimmick, swapping weapons seems interesting, but not really useful gameplay wise. Giants break walls, Swap Force can access special areas... What could Rangers do?
Maybe the true "game changing" gimmick is the... Crystals one...? If it exsist.

The picture was leaked via a French instagram account. There are currently events happening in Monaco and Munich.

Super Saiyan Zook (Yes I know it is suppose to be a new character but he looks like Zook went Super Saiyan)

It looks more like Wrecking Ball and Blanka had a baby, to me.

Bing did the translating on that, so if there's a native speaker around, we might be able to get a better translation.

If what I'm hearing is correct, yes we get to be the villains for once. I guess that makes sense since they don't look all that heroic.

This looks AMAZING!!! The new portal looks incredible and the skylanders looks really cool. :-)

I wonder if two of the larger characters are evolved forms of Gill Grunt and Eruptor. (although the big fire guy does look like Hot Head too)

If we are now the "bad guys", how does that fit with the current 150+ "good guys" that we all already own and Activision has pledged will always be backwards compatible with newer games?

Maybe these are villains we play. I mean after looking at them better, they sure don't look good. Even the lion doesn't look all that heroic and maybe the whole Kaos Alliance thing is true, but don't quote me there. Also one thing I also noticed is these aren't even the most childish designs. Like that helicopter guy actually looks like a snake's head and again not the most friendly designs as say Wind Up or Countdown.

These guys look nice.

The game could see you put an Eruptor on and translate that to something else. All is not lost. Sounds interesting that they are mixing in baddies and weapons this time around. I was kinda expecting two separate entries for this.

Activision or whatever other company is involved with Skylanders (Toys for Bob etc) has eyes all over this site from my anecdotal observations.

So yeah, it was only a matter of time before that happened.

On a similar note, it is kind of lame when you go to the Skylanders facebook page and "that guy" has to post the Mega Bloks picture of the new ranger character underneath the silhouette pictures they had going yesterday and ruin the fun. The surprise is sometimes the best part. My kid was blown away with the swap force reveal video when wash buckler comes out with a boom box and starts tapping his legs to the music and so on. I hope we get something similar tonight. That's why I don't let my son see this site and I do the "revealing" when the time is at hand. Spoilers are garbage. (I did inform him tonight was going to be a BIG night last night...)

i dont like the idea of Skylanders being the bad guys... it just doesn't feel right!! The difference with Disney Infinity's blind bags is that they have a minimal amount of figures in overall comparison, so it's not any more "costly"... Skylanders would never be able to get away with that unless they severely sliced down the number of figures they release with it which i dont see happening! lol

They could call it maybe skylanders Tag team, and that little cell thing is where you keep who you would tap into if you need help, or maybe you'll just keep weapons in there, IDK, I guess we're just gonn have to, sadly , Wait and see.

Bad guys, it's realy rare for a game main characters to be "bad guys".

Pretty sure the second image is showing some of the same figures and nothing that wasn't in the first image.

Not at all. There is "clearly" a S1 Spyro, in the second picture.
And the possible S2 Voodood is next to him, right in front of that weird round thing in the background.
You can figure out the Axe Reaver grip, the Magic base and some green.

At a second sight, tought, it looks way too smaller compared to Spyro. Mmmh...
