We finally get a good look at the soccer ball-bomb headed version of Countdown, thanks to myskylanders, who found the foreign Amazon pages for him;

Dates vary from May 6th, to June 12th (Germany).


And yes, his official name is Kickoff, it was originally World Cup.

.de, .fr, some are up for preorders, but I don't think that .fr ships to the US, and .de has the latest date.

Ok....Thank you. I tried on the France one and as reported. ...no US shipping. I suppose I could see if it could ship to norway/au/uk...and have friends then ship to me. But I'm hoping it's very accessible here and that this isn't necessary. Off topic. ..triples 5 and 6.....where can I buy them? Do I need to by in Europe?

He was called that when he was first discovered on Skylanders.com. I guess they changed it last second.

Well from what I know he has always been called kickoff countdown (the 3DS version confirmed that) but he does unlock the "World Cup" hat. My guess is that was what the site was referring to, as the site some times had the files named after code names or inside info.

When I found him in the webside code he was called worldcup countdown, at least the direct linkt on his part of the skylanders.com website. In his "meet the skylanders" video he was always called "Kickoff Countdown". I'm not sure if they'd be allowed to call him World Cup Countdown due to copyright issues, thats my guess.

all of the foreign amazons don't allow the shipping to the US. Already tried it several times within the week and past. No skylanders it seems from the foreign amazons will ship out to the US anymore

Not sure where to post this, but I read an article on gamenguide.com that stated at the end of the article:

"Kickoff Countdown will be exclusive to Toys"R"Us stores nationwide and online at Toysrus.com on Sunday, May 18, although it will be available at retailers worldwide the following week. Both Doom Stone and Kickoff Countdown will retail for $16.99 each."

Jesus! Such a hard choice whether to get the both of them this sunday. Im going to a store this sunday that is having a big sale on some clothes.... Maybe while im looking around, i can justify some of the things i got, and put it back, and say ill save that money for DS and KOC.

Kickoff Countdown isn't going to be $16.99, that's an obvious typo and referring to Doom Stone's price. Probably a staff writer that doesn't know any better.

Yes, I noticed that too, and figured it was just a typo. Doom Stone at ToysRUs would be $16.99 but the Kickoff Countdown would be $10.99.

At most, I could see a $1 bump up, like Gamestop did last year for variants, but $6? Nope.

Also, anyone notice that TRU did not do their yearly $1 mark up on Skylander prices this year? And we have much more frequent sales on current figures?

My toys r us has regular swappers at $16.99 but has increased legendary swappers to over $19 each. So i guess it is possible KOC will be $16.99. Ouch!

It's register locked, even if you do find it you can't buy it. The only way you can is if they ring up another figure in it's place for you, but that is a fire-able offense - someone's job is not worth it for a Skylander that will be easy to get in two days.
