I don't know the full details or if it's even true but I've just watched Good Morning America and it said that a Super Computer Virus has infected nearly 2/3s of websites and is recommend that you change your password.

This virus will allow hackers to access private and personal information.

I've already changed my passwords on both here and deviant art so I highly recommend you do as well. As I don't know the full details please if anyone could supply the full details. It would be greatly appreciated.

How come I can't find any news about it anywhere if it's such a big deal?

What would they get from us?
We don't have anything valuable here, like credit cards or anything...
But if pointless posts have monetary value, then go bananas.

It's not a virus. It's a vulnerability affecting servers that are using certain versions of OpenSSL.

Basically, what this means is attackers can read data that is protected by an HTTPS (secure) connection. It doesn't mean that they are reading it, but it's possible.

Oh, right. So it's not a virus, it's a flaw in this "https" -system?

Actually, I think they'd be able to get a hold your IP (correct me if I'm wrong.)
