Here in Quebec, the MELS (Ministère d'éducation, de loisirs et de sports.) gives us MELS Department/Minister Exams, which Grade 4, Grade 6, Secondary 2 (Grade 8), Secondary 4 (Grade 10), and Secondary 5 (Grade 11) have to take. In Grade 4, it's just Writing, in Grade 6, Writing, Reading, and Math, and English and in Secondary 2,4,5 it's for Reading, Writing, Grammar, English, Science, History and Geography.

What about you guys?

Well, in Texas it was TAKS. We have it 3-12th grade. Now it's STAAR and it's timed.

No, not all exams are timed. The tests my school are going to take spread across this month are not.

Yes, I had to take the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning), then I took the HSPE (High School Proficiency Exam). Thank (insert whatever deity here) that I don't need to take them anymore, because I passed them all.

For my state...

3rd grade: New York State Testing Program in English language arts and math
4th grade: NYSTP in English language arts and math, New York State science test
5th grade: NYSTP in English language arts and math, New York State social studies test
6th grade: NYSTP in English language arts and math
7th grade: NYSTP in English language arts and math
8th grade: NYSTP in English language arts and math, New York State science test, and New York State social studies test
High school: A student must pass (65% or better) at least 5 NYS Regents Exams, subject-specific tests in English, math, global history, US history and government, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, Spanish, French, Hebrew, German, Latin, and Italian

Yeah, we like out standardized tests. Of course, I went to high school in Montana, which only has tests for 10th and 11th graders. <.<;

I'm not 100% certain of all of them, but grades 3 (I think? Not sure) through 8 are taking ISTEP+ (Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus). I have to take the ECA for Algebra 1 next month I think. I believe there's an ECA for biology too. I can't recall any others right now

Oklahoma doesn't really have us take many tests, EoI (End of Instruction) is the main one we worry our asses off about. It's possibly the most important one. I know we had a few writing tests, done in 5th grade and 8th, but idk if I will have to now.

New York State Regents.

More or less useless for when applying for college for ANYTHING outside of the state. Not even NYU takes regents into account. Still get loads of pressure and everybody is insisting that I retake the Algebra regents to get an 80+ because my 76 from 5 years ago isn't good enough apparently (it's like they want me to fail and waste my time).
