I've got some horrible news. My older brother Steven Luong or someperson has died today when he jaywalked on the streets and a car hit him in a fatal accident. If you didn't know I am he's younger sister Kelsey and I heard this horrible news today when I got a phone call from my dad that Steven had died. I know this could be a shock to everyone here but it is sadly true. I am crying as of right now for his death and moaning that he died so young. I knew most of my life and at times he was mean towards me I knew that he loved me as family. I am on his favorite website and crying as I read all of his posts that he made. I feel like he would want me to post this here and let his friends know that he died.

Of course not. Telling somebody not to kill themselves won't stop them from being suicidal; trust me, I know. But there are so many other ways to teach this lesson. The end result of your experiment left it feeling cruel, and until you explained it it felt like an April Fools' joke rather than you trying to make a statement.

The other thing that you have to keep in mind is that sometimes these widespread lessons don't change things for people. You want them to, you intend for them to, but they DON'T. Sometimes you have to touch somebody individually for them to learn and grow.

I understand your viewpoint on this, and for the most part i think you're right, however people do differ from eachother and think different things.
