^ I was laughing the whole way trough, putting Sonic with something like Zelda just does not fit imo, it just looks ridiculous. XP

In terms of fitting in stylistically, Sonic would have probably looked more appropriate if this was based off of Wind Waker. However, I still think he fits pretty well.

That, and the tunic looks so dorky and adorable on him. I'd love to see it as an alt costume in Smash Bros.

And the level looks beautiful, and like it'd be loads of fun. Can't wait. This makes up for me leaving my headphones at college today.

i played the zelda stage, its kinda the best thing ever

It was smaller than I expected, and the timer annoyed me a little (I hated it in the normal game and I hate it more here), but other than those two things, it was fan service done beautifully. And it's free, so...

Uhm yeah I just downloaded the Zelda DLC, it's all fully downloaded and I'm sure about that, but it's not appearing anywhere in the game. Do you have to have the game completed for it to open up first or something?

i had to update the game first so maybe it's that

Obtain 100,000 points on any stage. I didn't have to do this but it could be the issue. It might appear when you do that.

That sounds odd, I know, but it's all I've got. The DLC levels only re-appear if you get 100,000 points after completing them, but I think maybe you're experiencing a bug or something. I'm just throwing a wild guess though.

A standard, solid run through Windy Hill 1 would get you more than enough points. Just take the paths with a lot of Rings, and try to get a nice bonus for jumping on the Goal Capsule from a distance.

Thank you for the tips, but for some reason the stage just appeared as soon as turned the game on a few minutes ago. :U Still don't know why it wasn't working before, thanks anyway guys. ; But yeah, I know I'll sound the exact same as everyone else, but the stage was very cute and fun, I knew it was gonna be short, but I didn't expect it to be that short. Super fun none the less.

I really liked how open the stage was at the beginning. I wonder if this is what Sonic Boom will be like.

the 3DS version looks a lot better but i don't plan on picking up either

EDIT: these have been removed, so i will try to describe them

the 3DS version was a sidescroller and you can switch between characters on the go (i think). they shoved in DICKS in that version. it looks decent i guess

the wii u version had some sidescroller parts but mostly looked 3D and the gameplay seemed much slower, and more focused on combat.

definitely looks interesting now that i have something to see involving the game. I like the new ideas and mechanics the new game is taking. It really gives the game variety and if worked out well could do great. I'm not sure which version looks like the better one, but chances are i'm going to get both versions anyways. Both versions have really cool things in them, and i hope both do well to succeed and don't get a repeat of Sonic Lost World's reviews.

The 3DS version looks awesome, but I'm still on the fence on the Wii U version (but I will get it anyway).

The 3DS Version seems to stay at it's traditional roots, while the Wii U version still seems interesting. I'm definitely surprised with Sticks' voice. Does not sound like what I thought it would, even though her jungle personality plays it's part.

I like the no gloves change on her very much. I mean it's like saying every Sonic Character in a video game wears gloves because they were born with them. e.e

Though I'm rather sorry for Sticks being named Sticks. I mean I don't mind the name, but I think everyone that hates her is gonna call her the Fgot word because it does mean "Bundle of Sticks". I mean for a name it's okay, though they could have done better, but I think they had no time with such since they had to build an entire new alt. universe and such. (Though personally I think they should have done something different to save them a bit of imagination). But I like how some people are complaining how there's "too many female Sonic characters" but not even a lot of them get into the video games, and they don't even bother counting the males.

I like her so far. Her dialogue and personality definitely sets her apart from other characters. personally if the character themselves are all fine to me, i don't care about design.

Of course they are, they're Sonic fans. Many of them hated Sonic 4 just because Sonic's eyes were the wrong color.

Big Green, on second thought. I can understand if you're annoyed by her already, you've seen enough for that to be justified, I guess.
The one who said they hate her already, though, is another story.

That's nice to hear, but it's not just you. When I followed that link in TS' post, a lot of comments were people complaining about her lack of gloves.
I love/hate her voice, so I can see where you're coming from.

I actually enjoyed the first 2 Riders quite a lot. Free Riders can go burn in a ditch though and I'm guessing that, plus All Stars Racing's success, has led to the demise of the Riders series.

Actually, if I remember GameXplain's explanation correctly, I'm fairly certain the exploration and combat IS the primary focus of the Wii U version. That speed stage shown at the beginning is a sort of transport between the hub world and the adventure levels. In any case, this seems like it's still a very early build of the game, because the camera feels like it's having a seizure. The music also sounds very... um... Ratchet & Clank-y? That was the first thing I thought of, anyway. @.@

Sega has announced they're partnering with Sony to create a sonic the hedgehog movie.

Neal Mortiz, the producer of the fast and furious movies, as well as films such as I Am Legend and 21 Jump Street, will be working on the project with his company original film. The film will be a hybrid of live action and animation much like the Smurfs movies.

I'm not sure what to think of this. I'm glad Sega is in on the project, and for all we know the film could work what with the extensive world of Sonic, but the films Neil Mortiz has produced are usually hit or miss. And the fact that its following the same format as the Smurfs worries me.

Your thoughts?
