9.99 are gone as of my post

Yeah, that stock didn't last very long at all.

They only had about 10 of each (maybe 15 as I saw the numbers go up by 5 towards the end). I was lucky to get them almost immediately after they went up, yay for random refreshing/checking.

They will be back, just keep checking! I'm still looking for Scratch, Fire Bone Hot Dog and Turbo Jet Vac. It's a pain living so far from a TRU, Target, and a Decent Walmart. Just 2 months ago I was only like 5 minutes from a Target :/

I looked earlier and the prices were 9.99. I decided to go to walmart before I ordered for the 3 of them but they hadn't gotten the shipment yet. After coming home empty handed I almost ordered them, but they raised the prices

That's not raising the prices. Amazon charges $9.99 for them. When they run out, the next lowest price or featured retailer pops up, which in the case of Skylanders is usually a scalper..

People (aka Amazon scalpers) are big jags. What has this world come to when you can't even get your kid a simple toy because they were bought up and are being sold for double. All kindness in this world is gone, only greed. Makes me sick.

You know how we can all fix that? Don't buy from them, ever. Don't go "oh it will just cost me that much in gas to go get it". Don't go "oh it's not that much more and now I don't have to look for one". That's how us fans can stop that crap. By simply telling them that retail is what we are willing to pay. Sure there are some that will anyways, but every person that refuses is one less justifying it.

Things have been better this year, due to some lower interest in many things like reposes and triples, not to mention ample stock. The Trap Shadow market fell through the bottom almost immediately due to stock levels being really high right off. When those people looking to score a buck off of anxious parents and kids learn that buying up a bunch of figures just means they will have to return them a couple weeks later or sell them at a loss when shipping/list fees are subtracted, they will stop. And by the way, those returns will show right back up on the shelves for retail.

That noted, I get when someone has a rare chase or out of print figure they can ask for a premium. That's understandable, you are getting something you cannot (for the most part) buy for retail. But it's the people scalping the current or previous wave that I loathe. They are helping create rarity for a product they are selling. It just reeks of taking advantage of someone.

Anyway, the scalpers aren't the problem, it's impatience. We all know that these will soon be all over the place. Nobody needs to have any of these figure as soon as they're released -- or in this case, before they're officially released. In fact, none of us need them at all. As for the scalpers, they only exist because of people's impatience. All this anxiety is self inflicted. If you're upset about not getting a figure at the absolute earliest moment possible, then you only have yourself to blame. Just wait a little while, and all will be fine.

Net/Net is ... buy retail ... scalper situation minimized. I laugh when I hear any skylander is "rare"...the only time that applies is when it's no longer being offered at retail ... then you have the flooded secondary market. So second thought, rare should be stricken from any skylander purchase except for certain chase figures.

Some folks are just lazy and will pay a premium not to bother ... and that's their deal. Third game in now we know what the gig is.

ITA. Last I checked, all of wave 4 is available on Amazon at retail prices. I haven't seen the spring edition figures, but they will be there, and in all local stores, soon enough.

Thanks for the heads up, was able to get Punk Shock and ST Trigger Happy (already had Fryno from Wave 4).

Only Wave 4 swappers are on Amazon at retail prices currently.
