Is this the same story all over again. Quick draw rattle shake not being released out of a U.S competition. If it is I'm giving up on variants as I was going to finally get royal double trouble from eBay for my birthday in a few weeks but this rattle shake is bugging me as I don't think I would pay up for that. Anybody know is quick draw will be released elsewhere. I have all variants to date apart from quick draw and royal.

Not sure how you can compare Quick Draw to Royal. Royal was available in a starter pack at GS with the Battlegrounds set so really he is no rarer then any of the Swap Force Dark Edition Skylanders. I can understand not wanting to pay $40-$50 for a single character but there are crazy people on here who bought the Wii set last year just for Gnarly only to later have him come out. Bite the bullet on Royal when you want, but just wait on Quick Draw and hope for the best. I got 2 Quick Draws with practically no effort at all, and I hope he doesn't come out, as I would like for him to be a really good trade worthy figure for when I finally do miss out on a specific variant.

I collect way more than just Skylanders and other video games, check it out.

I was one of the crazy people that bought the Wii edition for Gnarly Tree Rex, but I was smart about it. I got the set on sale, sold the Wii on eBay for a small profit, and kept the Gnarly Tree Rex. Of course, had I known it was coming out in a single pack, I wouldn't have went through all that trouble.

It wasn't so crazy to get the Wii for Gnarly. I got the pack on deep discount at Target, pulled out Gnarly, replaced it with a duplicate regular Tree Rex from the 3DS starter and sold the Giants game and figures to a friend of my son's parent for $40. I also swapped out the Wii Remote Plus so my kids had a cool blue one and replaced it with a regular Wii remote and donated it to our church.

I think the point was that the Battlegrounds with RDT was apparently only released in the US (and retailer exclusive?) so anyone outside had to trade or eBay for it.
The Dark Edition Starter was released worldwide so it's not really comparable.

Quickdraw was exclusive to a very, very annoyingly difficult to win Frito-Lay contest.

You had to try and play every minute of everyday to win this thing! It was great giveaway just a hard one to win at. All random and one given away every 15 minutes of every 24 day. I won one at 2:42am and won won at 6:36pm just random to be entered at the right time of the day. Was a pain but I am glad I played.

I bought 3 Wii and did this. On the last one though I traded the blue for red and blue remote and nunchuck for white ones and sold that on eBay stating I had did so.

You could probably compare Quick Draw to something like Flocked Stumpy or Pumpkin Fright. Given that Rattles is an actual Alt Deco figure, I kind of expect him to come out at some point in the future. Perhaps they'll wind up at Gamestop...or maybe a Skylanders 4 preorder thing.

There is a european Skylanders Battlegrounds Edition with Royal Double Trouble.
[User Posted Image]

My guess is that we are going to see Quickdraw outside the US in the future. It was clearly marked as time exclusive on the Frito-Lay bags.

It's quite possible he will come out alone late like tree rex gnarly did, time will tell.

Yep. Also, I'm pretty sure the Giantkicks still aren't out outside of the US either, besides maybe in Canada(?). I'm hoping those come out in another Sidekicks promo but I'm not holding my breath for Quickdraw much longer.

The only reason I see QuickDraw getting an actual release is because he's an in game variant. Royal double trouble didn't get a single release but you could at least still buy him at the store. Quick draw couldnt be bought in store and like previously said , the contest was poorly handled. I would be surprised if he doesn't get a retail release

Well they did eventually release the Sidekicks at gamestop (with the purchase of something else). Those aren't really considered part of any collection (at least until Swap Force and even then it only gives you one star) Comparatively, I believe Rattle Shake is part of the 3DS completion since it's an alt deco figure.

My money is on it coming to Gamestop at some point in the future, maybe a bonus for spending X amount of money on Skylanders.

I can see that happening, considering how bad the promotion for QuickDraw was done. If I'm able to acquire one, without paying a ridiculous price for it, then I'll get one. Otherwise, it will be like other variants (employee-issued, Toy Fair, etc) that I couldn't get normally. It's not the end of the world if I can't get one.
