Well? What'll it be?

I realy like the Cloud-Ones in Super Maro Galaxy(2). It's just so handy and amazing.

But seriously, who DOES NOT hate Spring Mario?

I loved/hated the Star Ball levels in Galaxy.


My favorite power-up was either the Blue Koopa Shell (NSMB), or the classic Metal Cap.


I also LOVED the Hammer Suit in SMB3.


Damn, how could I forget the Cape Feather? That's my all time favorite.

I hate rock and spring from Galaxy. They just control so bad.

As for best? Probably Boomerang from 3D world, cloud from Galaxy 2, Starman from anything, and anything that grants flying.

My favourite was the Cloud Flower for a while because I found it the most interesting and creative power-up for a long time. I also used to love the Mega Mushroom for a very long time, but I am the only one that only finds it fun using it in NSMB. for the DS and no other game? Nowadays I'm probably gonna have to agree with Big Green. The Tanooki Suit is very fun and extremely handy, especially for Champion's Road, and the Cat Suit is just loads of fun too, I love how you can do so much with it unlike most power-ups, like say the Fire Flower, you can shoot fire and that's it. The Cat Suit allows you to climb up any surface in 3D World, you have a scratch attack and the dive making it useful for a ton of situations, also it's super cute in the overworld when Cat Mario/Whoever sticks their butt in the air.

My least favourite is obviously the Spring Mushroom, I really want it to be the Fire Flower because of how obsolete it feels in later games and how forced the implementation of it is, but the Spring Mushroom is just awful. The design of Spring Mario is horrible, it's literally Mario in a spring, sure they did a similar thing with Drill Mario but at least Drill Mario controlled well. Spring Mario's biggest flaw is obviously it's control, granted it's not 'Speed Character in Sonic Heroes' hard to control but it's still a pretty big problem, especially when you want to go super close to a wall to do a big jump and you just end up bouncing of the wall if you get to close to it at the bottom. Also I might be the only one to experience this problem, as it might be a problem with my copy of Galaxy 1, but the thing isn't even responsive for when I want to do a big jump, it just doesn't happen like 50% of the time.

So yeah, I take my Mario pretty seriously as you can see. :U

It`s iconic enough, so I can`t hate too much on it, but in NSMB Wii there are spots where there is a ? Block, and it gives you a power up IF you are at least at big height. If you are small, too bad you get the Mushroom.
The Moral of the Story: Small People get paid less.

I will say this: I HATE the Ice Flower. Purely because the Penguin Suit is pretty much exactly the same with the option to slide with it as well. It just feels like a waste when a better suit that can do the same thing is available. Given the option between the two you have literally no reason to go with the Ice Flower over the Penguin Suit(unless you just really like the Ice Flower personally).
To be fair, similar problems apply to the grey version of the Tanooki Leaf in 3D Land which lets you turn into a statue as well as having all the effects of the regular one, but that's a lot easier to excuse because it appears a lot less often. I can't actually remember seeing it outside of S1-1. With that version of the powerup I don't hate it as much as I just don't care for it. I'd say that they should have just used the regular Tanooki Leaf instead because the grey version really is pointless but it was a lifesaver for the final level in the game.

I actually like Spring Mario, for nostalgia plus I really do think it's fun to use and like the design, but I can see why people would dislike it. It does feel unwieldy.

I don't know what my favourite is. There are too many to pick from. I guess I'd go with the Blue Shell from New Super Mario Bros.! You hardly ever got to use it, it's just... I remember using this in multiplayer battles against my dad and sister all the time and it was amazing sliding around in it while they couldn't get me at all

The Mega Mushroom definitely deserves a mention, it's a great powerup in every game it appears in. I love coming back from a lower spot in the race and then squishing people with it in Mario Kart ~ It feels so powerful in the NSMB games, probably the best Powerup overall there.

Ah yes, the blue shell was just downright cheating.

Oh yes, and the Double Cherry is alot of fun too. Man did 3D World have a good selection of power-ups. :0
