I was wondering about using a speaker in the figure so they could "interact" back and talk to the player from the portal.
Maybe they would be limited to a speaker in the portal so it just sounded like the figure was talking, but even still that would be pretty darn cool.

The only thing they could do based on this interview that would make me (0_0)' would be articulation affecting stuff in game. Other than that - I'm a heavy Kinect user and frankly any other interaction that I can think of will (1) drive hte price up and (2) not be great beyond the 'wow' factor.

TFB used off the shelf parts pretty much for all Skylander ideas.

There is no "off the shelf" part to feed back articulation into the RFID chip, that is SO far beyond that there is literally 0% chance.
Sorry.

5% chance or less of "animated" figures that move in some way on the portal.
10% chance or less of "talking" figures as I described before

Regardless, I'm definitely eager to find out what the new direction is going to be.

He kept using the word 'heroic' -- I'm going to pretend that means we get heroic challenges (or something along that line) back with TFB for game 4.

You never know what they're gonna do, so speculation is more than useless.

I think Heroics as a gind should stay dead circa Giants...but the idea of something that takes that experience AND MOVES IT FORWARD in the franchise is a must. That's kinda why they call it "Toys to Life".

Animation and talking Skylanders--sorry don't buy that. That's under the guise of ultimate ideas of doom.
