Glad to hear folks are having success finding them at Toys R Us so far, figured I mention that I picked these guys up earlier at Walmart in San Leandro, CA. Only had 4 of each, so while they aren't at TRU-level stock, you won't have to pay that TRU price either.

Did you see Enchanted Star Strike there? Still none at mine in Livermore, CA... My Walmart also didn't have the swappers. Found them at the Dublin TRU

No Enchanted Star Strike unfortunately, which was my original reason for stopping by. The did have Sheep Wreck Island, which was my first time seeing that in-store.

Dang. I've been out of town on business for a few days, and look what happens. Doubt my stores will have any new swappers, but I'll check.

They probably will, stores got in tons of them and the cases have almost no older "filler" figures. They have 9-10 of the new ones. Most average stores got anywhere from 15 to 20 cases of them. |

It's funny ebay have lowered prices all the way to 18.99 for these. They won't even cover shipping after ebay takes their cut. Star strike will be out in the hundreds in a week or two. They may be selling a few right now for those who are impatient. Looks like it doesn't pay to scalp with swap force. Finally activision got smart. Make plenty of figures so scalpers will buy what they think they can sale and everyone else can buy them at retail price as well. Either way they stand to make probably a record breaking amount in the skylanders franchise history. Look at all the freezer blasts adhd trap shadows and star strikes not selling. Then add the people that don't scalp which is about 98% of buyers. They are making a fortune selling all these figures. Hope the scalpers enjoy wasting their money sitting in a room full of product they can not sell. I never understood buying from scalpers. People that buy these expecting them to be worth something are mistaken. Watch any episode of pawn stars and you will hear them say sitting that was mass produced AS a collectible isn't collectible or isn't worth anything bc so many were made and so many people collected them. Hopefully this brings a smile to the face of everyone that has posted their dislike about scalpers in the past. It won't end it but it's a huge hit to that market seeing all these figures available in stores even after the scalpers tried their best to scoop them all up.

Hmmm...
I think if the Scalpers don't sell them, they will return them to the store they bought them from and get their money back, as long as it is before the expiration on the receipt (Usually 30-60 days). |

Scalping for this iteration of the game seems pointless. Activision has been smarter about releasing in large quantities. Also, there is that initial mad rush, but it appears people are being smart by waiting. People may not get the new figures at first, but they will come out eventually.

Speak for yourself. I was eager to go out and get the figures right when released with prior waves, but with 100+ Skylanders sitting around at home, I'm waiting for sales before I purchase wave 4. The only one I am interested in getting at store regular price (not scalper price) as soon as possible is Enchanted Star Strike (and in the future Nitro Freeze Blade and Jade Fire Kraken) because I don't trust stores to have these variants in stock for long once released as per prior experience in never seeing Molten Hot Dog or Granite Crusher in stores. |

This is more what I was talking about.... The wave 4 corelanders " at least what I have noticed " have not been put out with great numbers causing a lot to be sold for marked up prices on Ebay. What I was referring to was this. Whenever you have something come out in one part of the country and not the other there are people who are inpatient and cannot wait and will turn to Ebay to buy them. Truth be told I did buy a few extra and sell them on Ebay to help pay for my boy's collection and in fact had no problem selling them for a marked up price. In fact everything I owned was sold by the time I got up the next morning. If I don't do it someone else will...... and heck, Skylanders is a expensive hobby. |

It seems that impatience wins out. Every new release goes through this where they sell out quick and weeks later the shelves are overflowing with merchandise. The store exclusives (Granite Crusher, Legendaries, etc) are the ones that are the exception to that rule. I can understand paying a little over retail so as not to have to go on hunting trips and hoping to score a figure. But, to pay extremely inflated markup because the person can't wait until the next shipment, or full release to other stores, seems silly.

Same boat as mastermc54 is in, the only things anyone needs to try to hunt down are specialty characters and even then they've been pretty gratuitous with the amount stores seem to be getting them.
I don't think I've paid full retail for hardly any of my Skylanders I've bought for Swap Force and I wont do so unless there's fear of something disappearing from stores.

Went to Walmart last night looking for the Spring Editon skylanders but unexpectedly found Trap Shadow and freeze Blade instead. I don't live near a TRU so I still needed them also, so it was a nice surprise. They had a decent amount of both and also some Stink Bomb, Spy Rise and Rubble Rouser for anyone who might still be missing those. I am in east Texas by the way.
