Great I just came home visiting 3 walmarts today with other errands and now i see this thread. Well called my TRU and they say they have them so back out I go!

Called my TRU to see if they had them this morning. They said yes and that they put them out in the morning. I went after work and they only had 5 Trap Shadows left and all the Freeze Blades were all ready gone. This is a big TRU that stocks very well and gets large orders. They said they had a ton of them but people were buying multiple quantities. If your TRU put them out today and you are waiting to go till tomorrow do not be surprised if the stock is already wiped out. This was in South Florida.

Well given the fact that TRU is getting them in large quantities and there are large numbers of them in the cases, I think these eager scalpers might be gloomily returning them in a few days when they realize they aren't going to sell for a premium worth their time. Mine had around 75 of each of the new guys in today. And it isn't even the only TRU in the area/town. And no doubt other stores will start stocking them very soon. For comparison's sake, last year at this time they got 12 Ninjinis in for the release.

Hi everyone I usually just read this forum but I thought I would share that tru on MacArthur in Irving Tx has trap shadow and freeze blade on the shelf. I just left and they had at least 10 of each.

Exactly. My store was only shelving a couple cases of the 15 or so they got, simply because that's the space they had (lots of wave 3 stuff already up and they recently got rid of the second display). I can see someone going in and thinking they can clean them out, but they are just going to restock it right behind them.

I'm really liking how their shipments aren't having lots of shelf warming filler this time around to gum up new shipments. Sure it sucks for the late comers, but that's a hazard of starting late and trying to collect 'em all. Maybe they will ship a Wave 6 with a nice mix of figures after the get Doom Stone out in Wave 5.

Um.. Do you not see all of these pictures of them in-hand? It either happened already or will happen tomorrow, depending on your area.

No I mean like an official announcement that Thursday is the day for the release. Like they did with Ninjini. Reason I ask is because some stores won't have any tomorrow if they sold them all today.
Seems like it's just a "put these on the shelf when you get them" Like Target did with the Wave 3 swappers.

The Wave 4 Swappers will officially be released tomorrow (3/14/14) at Toys R Us. I saw the boxes at work today. My store got in around 10 boxes or so. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture of them like last time. We had some "head honchos" in the store today.

Apparently there is some sort of notice from corporate about it, because several stores are holding them back until then. I can say that the employees in my store were not aware of it, I even asked them - I'm not about to get them in trouble over this sort of thing, I could have easily just shown up tomorrow morning. Apparently they knew the numbers were high and didn't go to the effort of locking them down on the register, and the boxes said the usual "Oct. 13, 2013" hold date that is on every box. There has been no Hot Toy Alert go out, which would have hit around 5 Eastern, so they will probably just send something tomorrow. They don't seem to be making an event of it.

I highly doubt they would run out anyways, unless some scalper that REALLY wanted it came in and dropped a couple grand towards cleaning them out.

I called my TRU at lunch today and asked if they got any new Skylanders.
The guy on the other end said "Hold On".
I was transferred to the Elect. Dept and the Cashier said that he got 5 boxes and he was just opening them. He said that the first one he pulled out was one that he never saw before, it was Trap Shadow, he said there was no release date on them and that he would verify with scanning them. He told me that Trap S. was good to go. I asked if there was Freeze Blade in the box? He said he was pulling him out as I was asking. He verified and he was good to go also. I drove 30 minutes and.. Got Mine...
When I got there, they had tons on the pegs. Sure looked like more than 5 boxes worth.
Picked out the best paint job and went back to work.

I tried checking two Toys R Us stores near me. The first one said they have them but can't sell them until Friday. I went to the second, more clueless store and asked an employee if they had anything in the back. He just gave me this weird look and said "I dunno," and walked away. Yes, I'm sure it was an employee.

I wouldn't be so sure. I called one of my local stores asking if they have any new Skylanders. Didn't even say which ones and the guy said Freezeblade and Trap Shadow came in but they sold out this morning. Either some stores didn't get many boxes or scalpers are in full force. At least in my area.

My local one here in Washington state got in about 10 boxes of them also and they let me buy tonight. Got one of each. Earlier in the day they were saying they were going to hold them till tomorrow when they got them in.

I can confirm that there was no release date...so folks could be getting them from TRU as early as today. Thanks to defpally for the hook up!

My TRU had a sales lock on the figures and they would be made available on the 13th - so there's that.

I just recieved the Hot Toy Alert from TRU.

I also just received the hot tot alert and it does state the 13th so they shouldn't have been placed out before today be we all know how that works. I will get a copy of the alert up for those that want it soon.

well my TRU had plenty there was about 20 of each on pegs and manager said 20 more cases were in the store, so if all stores are like mine which is a smaller store then there will most likely be plenty to go around.

ok here's the hot toy alert from from my email this morning for those needing the confirmation of an official release date.


after re-looking at it, I see that the date below it, is for the sale on the other items below the picture. There is no date for the figures.

"QUANTITIES ARE LIMITED!"

And yet stores have about 50+ of each.

Quantities aren't limited. I asked them if they had any and the associate wheeled out a cart packed with the boxes of the new wave.

I won't be able to go until 12:30 or 12:45 so I hope they will still have at least one of each left.

Just because there are large amounts of them doesn't mean they are unlimited ...

They only say that because if they run out eventually at some stores. It appears some scalpers are trying to make a go of it, but not a whole bunch of them. If the scalpers are looking to turn a buck, these aren't the figures to do it on - dozens upon dozens are hitting stores, and within a couple weeks they will probably show up in other stores (not to mention restock at TRU) - and with the case makeup everyone that wants one will be able to easily find it at retail.

It's still a hot item - they have to put "Quantities are Limited" so if/when they run out, people don't lose their **** screaming "False Advertisement" (See: Target ad from a couple of months ago).

I got both today TRU Beavercreek, OH. OK you don't have to wait for it now.

A friend of mine lives in North Carolina and two of his stores only had 8 of each guy so some stores may have limited quantities also the boxes are made like this 4-5 freeze blade and trap shadow varies on each box I'm pretty sure then 1 each of rubble rouser stink bomb and spy rise

I stopped at the TRU in East Brunswick, NJ and they guy there was awesome. None of the new ones were on the shelf so I asked if they got any new ones in and after a little searching in the back, he brought out two boxes with just Trap Shadows and Freeze Blades. That guy was awesome. I also asked him about Jade Fire Kraken since we are close to St. Patty's day and he said he heard that was going to be a Target exclusive like Jade Flashwing. I have nothing to prove this except what he said. Can anyone else prove or disprove that?

As much as you probably trust him, he probably read it on here, where a ton of people are still speculating on his release.

A couple dozen of each at Maplewood, MN TRU.

got mine in West Des Moines, IA, limit 1 each per customer though.

This is why I prefer TRU new releases over others, despite the higher base prices. People all across the country happily getting them at the same time or close instead of running to Walmart over and over on the offhand chance they get them or you can convince an uninterested employee to find them over the course of a couple weeks. There are still people who have no idea if or when their Walmarts will get the figures in or even when to check.

Chesapeake Square Mall TRU has about a dozen of each today. Dont know how many will remain. I got my 1 copy of each.

I was able to pick up both of them today at TRU in Fayetteville, GA. They weren't out on the shelf and had to ask someone to check in the back. I was also able to score a Hyper-Beam Prism Break. I haven't seen him in awhile. He must have come in the box with Dune Bug because there were plenty of him with some other newer releases on the shelf.

Sorry about that. I was using my phone this morning to check the updates and thought that I had seen everything on page 2. I missed a lot of it though. which is why I asked. Thanks for the update. getting ready to head to my TRU now.

TRU in Alpharetta, GA had them, though they weren't displaying them on pegs. They had a 1 per customer limit, which is a welcomed changed since I've witnessed scalpers here regularly.

Had to ask my local TRU if they had them because none were out and they looked at me like I was crazy but they went in the back and found them, but the funny thing is the boxes were marked oct 13, 2013?

Every Swap Force case is marked that in the corner. If there is a street date it is marked with a large orange or dark red sticker closer to the center of the box.

Got the last trap shadow and freeze blade figures after waiting in a long line of skylander fans this morning. So far they're the best swaplanders in the game!

Got both of them at the Midland, TX TRU's. They didn't have them out on the pegs. Had to ask, but when I did the clerk stated they had them in boxes up front. Went up there and another clerk pulled one of each out for me. Not sure if they are doing the one per customer deal or if they are going to setup a display up front and just didn't get it up yet. I only ever get one of each unless its something I'm not gonna open them I might get a second of it.

got both in fl now i wondering how is that going to effect nitro freese blade as most got him now
