A little birdie told me that they are hitting TRU stores starting 3-13-14. I can't wait good luck and let us know what you find. If I find them Thursday morning like I am told I will be posting my stuff here Thursday morning. Sorry was a typo on the date.

The store manager was on his computer with the latest news of figures and told me to come in Thursday morning because 3-13-14 that they were getting in Trap Shadow and Freeze blade. He said they would arrive by Fed Ex or Ups and I could buy them. We will have to wait and see....

What state/coast are you in if you don't mind me asking?

Does anyone know if this will be like the release of the Wave 4 non-swappers...start in the West then trickle to the East coast? Should we anticipate a Thursday release at TRU everywhere?

OHIO, East Coast. The best thing is the TRU Warehouse is 1 hour east of where I live.

Alright thanks for the heads up trixster you're the best. I hope I find Fryno soon as he and Punk Shock are the last ones I need and it be nice to find Trap Shadow and Freeze Blade.

That is great news!! Thank you for posting! I will have to try my local TRU Thursday and see what happens. If not Thursday, then hopefully by the weekend. Seems like this will be a costly weekend with these swappers and hopefully the non-swappers making their way toward NY.

Are the quantities limited? I'm just wondering because I can't go Thursday, so I was planning to go Friday.

I heard that each store will only get one of each figure and they won't be placing them in the skylanders section so you have to do a hunt for them like Easter eggs..... but no seriously it will depend on your area. some stores stock will be there for weeks while others will sell out the day they place them.

Does this apply to all stores?

The truck portion doesn't matter as he said they would be arriving on Fed ex or UPS.

Their shipment days vary by store, but for something like this they get it by UPS. If this is accurate, they will get them in tomorrow with a date for the next day and a big orange/red label on the side. Would be cool if they got swapper and singles. Guess we will find out soon enough. They will send out a Hot Toy Alert tomorrow afternoon if it is happening.

This would appear to be important enough for a Red Hot Toy Alert from TRU. We should all keep our eyes open to see if they send one. If someone gets one we can post it on this page.

I'll call TRU's customer service later today. They told me about the Ninjini promo when I called for that.

If this date is legit, I'll be sure to find out and report back. Honestly, I don't think this is true. Every Skylanders release (at least for Swap Force) has been on a Sunday at Toys R Us. I could be wrong, but this date seems very odd.

Also, in previous years it was common for the Hot Toy Alerts to be mid-week. Ninjini hit on a Thursday, as did Thumpback and Eye Brawl (although they did not get those "first"). It isn't a guarantee or anything, but there is precedence. Their Sunday releases usually coincide with Sunday ads, but those are printed weeks in advance. Depending on how late they got notice of release, it might not have been time to make a Sunday ad, eliminating the need to release on Sunday.

If it is accurate, stores will start getting them in in the next day or so, and I know of several employees that will report it. There is one source on another site that has always come through from TRU, but he hasn't reported anything yet.

It will not surprise me either way, whether they release then or not. Don't schedule time off work yet to be there.

I verified with my Local TRU, they have them in stock but will not be putting them out until Sunday.

i work there and there is a hold date for them for thrusday saw it sunday but no phone camera but it in the street hold dates along with ps4 new movies video games and something about vacuum hold till further notice

Hey! I stopped in to Toys R Us on my way home and asked if they had any new Skylanders, the employee pointed at a sign on the register that said Freeze Blade and Trap Shadow were coming out on Thursday the 13th! So they officially have dates posted in my store at least.

I was like AWESOME until I realized that this was Toys R Us and so I'd be paying more than other locations.

I talked with the store manager and electronics manager today. Both checked emails and no notifications of any new skylanders. Not saying whats said here isnt true.. I'm like most, just hope its valid. I'll go by thursday and see whats available.

This Thursday 3/13/14. I didn't think to take a picture. Just passing on my experience, nobody has to believe me, makes no difference to me cause I'm getting them at MY store but I can't speak for other stores/locations. I just know what MY Toys R Us store is doing and I know I'm getting them on Thursday because the employee pulled them for me. I almost got them today, but they said the manager was very clear about Thursday. The two Toys R Us' around me always get things first cause they're soooo close to the distribution center as we're in Virginia. Take it for what it's worth.

I should also mention that we have several Skylanders fanatics as employees here and I'm a regular so they know me. They go above and beyond to help me get one on launch day every time and so far I've always managed to get one day 1 of each wave.
