Skylanders Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Cloudbreak

Cool. Randomised dungeons would be amazing in Skylanders and I imagine you could recruit baddies like in PMD and then have them follow you around in a little army like Pikmin, and doing that in itself could be an addictive aspect if it had some good depth. The basic gameplay would pan out just like SWAP Force does now, with this recruiting aspect added on. I'm not sure how you might incorporate turn-based moves into this, though.

Imagine being able to have your own special Skyland as the hub of the game where you could interact with ingame characters and customise all kinds of things, and the Skyland would change dynamically during different seasons and such. Lore-wise, you'd be able to customise only your Skyland thanks to some special kind of magic surrounding it or something(perhaps it exists in some different plane of Skylands to other locations, which an NPC stumbled into, or something). You would be able to go online with other players to visit their Skyland, interact with their characters, and do things like share items and get your characters to move to another Skyland(so you could get characters you desired in your Skyland and help others with it). You would be able to earn more customisation options and get extras of items from various things in the game such as having completed Quests/Heroics on your Skylander(difficult to balance...). Gold collected in Chapters could be spent on items and to recruit characters. In addition, Chapters' environments now change dynamically just like your Skyland's, to keep that consistent, although that might contradict some lore with how the Portal time travels and it wouldn't make sense if you time travelled and the level looked different than before so maybe not. Oh, but that's what I was thinking for the console version. I don't really know how it'd have to be scaled to fit on the 3DS(I guess it just wouldn't work at all without an unrealistic amount of work to overhaul the current engine), but if this were the console game, I think this kind of thing could be awesome if it had enough depth, just like the "Skylanders Mystery Dunegon" recruiting idea that I posted, and could keep you interested in the game for a while, offering something to do besides replaying Chapters. And the multiplayer would be entertaining.

The toy gimmick could have some kind of involvement with this I guess? I think doing that and making a bunch of collectable houses and stuff wouldn't be that great... Actually, if I think about it, being able to buy extra huts and such owned by extra characters would kinda fit? I don't know about that. :/ It could turn out really well but more easily feel like a cash grab, or it could make the customisation feel limited if they purposely made less customisation toys so that there weren't too many either. Then again, maybe that wouldn't be so bad. This doesn't need to be an absolutely massive feature to add a new, entertaining thing to do in the game when you're not beating up baddies, it should just be a bit dynamic, if that makes sense.

I think Aegislash would make an awesome Master Sword and Mirror Shield.
