I never knew how creepy clams were... [CLOSED]

I honestly had no idea they could do this... Unless this is fake, but I saw a ton of videos of them doing this. I really did not know they had a tongue or whatever you wanna call that... I guess I've never actually seen a living one, but now I really don't want to because that is just wtf.

That thing's called a foot, a musckle a Clamp uses to move trough water smilie

It looks more like a tongue, but even if it's called a foot, it's still creepy. I know it's pretty sad I never knew this, but I've never really thought much about them or how they move around smilie It does make sense, but I'm glad I found out on YouTube rather than going to the beach, picking one up and having that happen.... It wouldn't look to good on my part when an almost 22 year old guy screams, flails and runs away from a clam...

When I was digging around in the mud flats I discovered that clams had that tongue thing when I put it next to me. I never found that clam again......
