after recollecting my thoughts from above- I have no problem with the tv series. they can change it up and it can still work, like the SATam did, and I'm honestly excited for it. what I'm worried about is the game because of my previous statement. after looking at the designs again, I actually like Sonic and Amy's new designs, Tails is my favorite design, and Knuckles... it isn't because it's BAD, it's just... gonna get some getting used to.

Tails looks almost like his 25-30 years later counterpart from the comics.

I like new tails, he looks betetr in steampunk gear.

*Sigh*, times like this that I die a little inside knowing I don't own a Wii u, which means I won't ever be able to buy Sonic Boom...

Yeah, they tweaked his personality considerably when they switched voices from Griffith to Smith. It reminds me more of his personality in Adventure, the comics, and SatAM (although I might be misremembering those). XP

I was told that Sonic Boom was gonna be a "branch off" of another universe and not the main. It kind of makes me wonder why they'd go so far to make a new verse instead of recycling one. I mean lets be green here, it can save some imagination issues. Just saying.

As for the bolded part. I think you just now noticed that, it's kind of been like that in general really. Oh except some characters, like Princess Alicia (some scenes in the comics it shows her neck part of her outfit.), in Wikia it said Chip had a neck. Though I'm sure there's a lot more. Just naming a few.

If anyone has a higher score than this one I just got I'd love to see it.

I don't think we can judge Sonic's personality in this just yet. We've only seen teaser footage.
And I don't even see how he is a jerk even from what we've seen. He's a jerk to Eggman, but he always has been. This is a constant factor in every portrayal of Sonic. They're supposed to be arch-enemies, after all. Sonic being a jerk to Eggman says nothing about how he treats other characters. Sonic Lost World was a perfect example of that.

The interviews for the game suggest that the characters are supposed to overcome differences between each other over the course of the story. That would suggest that there will be character development here.

Eh, I like the current Sonic more (by which I mean Unleashed to the present). But I take it I'm in the smallest minority. *shrug*

We can't say we seriously dislike this reboot or vice versa until it comes out. All I can say is, I think the TV show will be fun, and the game holds a lot of promise, due to the team behind it.

The game looks preety nice so far, I liked how you'll be able to play as more than just Sonic. It tends to get old being the same person all the time and not getting the option to be someone else. I loved the Adventure series for the variety of characters you can play as.

Hopefully, unlike Adventure, it won't have filler crap like fishing or like 06 where it has to balance out over 10 characters with garbage like Amy's play-style.

Concerning the Sonic Boom designs...

I like them but their legs are too freakishly long.

Eggman seems to be the only normal one.

They do a perfect Higgins-Tails impression though, so it seems inconsequential so far.

Don't get me wrong, Austrailians are pretty cool, but Marine? I find her so...annoying.

Well, this IS a different universe, and if that design is her, she looks older than in Rush Adventure. So she'd likely be less annoying.

Not to mention that her being annoying was COMPLETELY intentional in Rush Adventure.

I think I read in some sort of promotional cast listing that Orbot and Cubot will also be in it? Not sure...

Hey, I happen to like Orbot and Cubot a lot. It's nice for Eggman to have lackeys to actually interact with. Otherwise we get the Eggman portrayals like in Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and 06, where he wasn't, in my opinion, an enjoyable villain to watch at all. <.<;

Marine in particular seems more mature though. She looks much more tribal, and the presence of the boomerang suggests hunting prowess (because that's what Australian tribes actually used boomerangs for). In Rush Adventure, she was very reliant on others and needed to be babysat unless she wanted to get killed. I don't get that impression from her supposed Boom incarnation. She looks like someone with justified independence.

^ Yeah, I guess so. I never played SRA though, so I don't really know Marine too well.
