Does anyone know the true value and size of the exclusivity of the arena tour version dark spyro?

The value depends on what someone would spend, check ebay.

Yeah, hard to get excited about a very small box change. Figure still is what the figure is.

Yep, that's the only difference. My knowledge goes as far as the fact that they were handed out mainly to people who were 'invited' by Activision and as prizes.

In terms of worth, I think only die-hard collectors would ever pay more than the price a regular Dark Spyro goes for. And I don't think there are many variant box collectors out there.

Ages ago, someone told me that one sold for $700. He actually owns one.

There are 5 versions overall:

UK version

EB Games contest version

Arena Tour version

US event version (I don't remember which event)

Recalled Target Exclusive version

Can I just say that the arena tour version is in fact the recalled target version with a sticker over the target logo, I know this as the one I've got the sticker isn't straight, showing the bottom corner of the target logo

Back in the day I used to see loads with the us/au hook and the blue label so just assumed it finally got released over there

So the EB version is unique? I wonder if there are any other single pack versions like that? I'm sure that the very first ones that popped up on eBay had the US/AU pegs, but I have no idea of how common they really are and I can't remember wether they had the blue label on the cardboard.

I suspected that was probably the case. I really would like to understand the mythology around the cancelled exclusive.

It is strange that they would make the general release exclusive over here, I know you guys get all the frito lay ones and all that sort of thing but DS was a standard figure, then saying that we never got series two drobot over here or the single pack of jet vac, so swings and roundabouts really
