I have a 3DS, tho the r button doesn't work. I never played a Pokèmon game. What do you guys think?

This could've gone in the Pokemon topic, but you never use the R button in X/Y as far as I remember. Get Y for the exclusive pokemon such as Yveltal and Skrelp, but X if you want Mega Charizard X

I say you should. It's a great game, worth the money definitely.

The game is a lot of fun. If you like Skylanders then I think you'll like this with the same "catch them all" idea.

y is really the best of it's exclusive pokemon and charizard, and meg mew two.
mewtwo y won 4/5 battles with mewtwo x.

Actually, Mega Mewtwo Y is usually considered the worse Mega, as it has more Speed - yes, but it is more frail and has just as much power as Life Orb Mewtwo, but Mega Mewtwo X has a ferocious Low Kick that does a ton to titans of Ubers, I mean, look at this:
252 Atk Mega Mewtwo X Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Groudon: 195-231 (48.2 - 57.1%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Mega Mewtwo X Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kyogre: 286-337 (83.6 - 98.5%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
This is awesome, as most things in Ubers are heavy, the true only counter to it is Ho-Oh, but if you run Stone Edge:
252 Atk Mega Mewtwo X Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Ho-Oh: 636-752 (152.8 - 180.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
The standard is Psystrike / Low Kick / Stone Edge / Filler (usually Sub, Ice / Fire Punch, or Earthquake, sometimes Recover if you want that.) Giratina is also another wall to it, but Ice Punch is a 3HKO, but it will get Burned / killed in the meantime, don't keep it in on Giratina. With Hasty, 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 SpA, it hits like a truck and is very speedy.

Charizard Y is better then X though.
