Agreed! There is clearly an overflow of the other ones, but if they'd take a real look around forums like these, they'd realize they could make a killing with a special release like with Dino Rang. I'd trust TRU with that considering they are rather good about enforcing an in-store limit of one per customer. Just don't sell them online where scalpers can just make separate orders to bypass it. I grow tired of seeing ebay make out with $100 Darklights or other nonsense like that.

My Ebay SEGG came in a bubble pack and has one barely noticeable ding. Just awaiting my promo one to come in the mail to see which one I will be opening.

Replacement once came today. Came in a bubble envelope once again. *sigh* TRU pls.

This new one at least isn't as bad as the other one was. There's a bit of an indentation on the bubble but not really noticeable unless you look real close at it. The card is also bent; I think someone mentioned that too.

Ah well, guess you can't win all of em. Glad to be all done with this promotion....

Well, they seem to know they made some mistakes with this promotion, and are trying to fix them. I called yesterday about not getting an email on my wife's account and the rep was really nice and explained that they knew about the problems and had a bunch of them left to fix it. She took down my information and said someone would call back. Last night an email confirmation of the order just came to my wife's email - no further action necessary.

I have already gotten the one for my account (I got an email), but had waited until the end of the promotion period to call on my wife's in case they had a very limited supply (I didn't want to get two if others that qualified did not have a chance to get one due to the email screw up). I qualified on both accounts easily.

I just received mine!

It has a slight crease on the upper corner. It's noticeable, but, not too bad, considering it came in an over-sized envelope. I'm rather relieved it didn't arrived completely destroyed.

I received my replacement today and it was damaged worse than the last one. I specifically for a box. She said that in the nots package was damaged and new one had to be shipped in a box and it was another bubble mailer. I'm so disappointed in tru.

Bubble mailers is how TRU rolls...... So sad that they can't place one in a tiny box to be sent out. It cost them to much money I bet.

I did not receive the email for the Gill Grunt, so I called TRU customer service. The rep took my information, confirmed my eligibility for the promotion, and said I would be receiving an email within 3 days. 2 days later an email arrives instructing me to print the email and take it to my local TRU store to pickup my figure. With my email in hand, I visit my local TRU. The store manager tells me that they never received these in store and he digs up a notice that told the store that all promotion figures will be shipped and not made available in store. They were very nice about it and said I was not the first one with this problem. The manager said I could pick out any figure for my trouble, including a swappable figure, so I got Rubble Rouser. The manager told me to call customer service and have them ship me the Gill Grunt figure. I got home, called customer service and she ordered me the figure, which is coming today. A mix up indeed, but TRU did the right thing and took care of me.
Oh, and I asked if my figure could be boxed to protect it, she said if it arrives damaged in any way, to call back and they will ship another figure out to me. I hope it arrives safely today.

Just checked my mail and received my Gill Grunt today. There is one very small crease in the bottom right side of the plastic shell. Not a big deal, so no replacement necessary here. Hope everyone gets theirs and in good condition, enjoy!

I called they said it has to be passed to the higher up for approval I will get a confirmation in a couple days if they approve it and the figure in 2 weeks and I live 1 state over. I map quested it and I only live 189.3 miles away from the fulfillment center. No reason for this.

Received mine in the mail yesterday. Got bent on one side but I was able to bend it back. Two small creases now, but no big deal.

You're fighting a battle you've already lost. I hope you "give it to the man" but they won't change. Best thing is to order one with another item (I ordered the PowerA bags) if you want one undamaged.

When I received my SEGG, it was in a bubble mailer and the packaging was crushed. When I called in to get the replacement, the rep. kept saying how she couldn't believe they would send something like that in a bubble mailer. She told me that the packaging would be different the second time around and that she was going to upgrade it to "expedited delivery". The "second bubble mailer" appeared on my doorstep just two days after my phone conversation. The Skylander packaging was slightly less damaged than the original shipment. Only by the slimmest of margins.

Yeah even if you ask for a box on the replacement figure it's coming in a bubble mailer. Atleast my experience was this way.

The packaging is completely TRU's fulfillment department's fault. Their customer service appears to be on the ball on this promotion, quickly fixing issues. But some executive over the shipping department has apparently decided that shaving a few pennies off his bottom line is more important than another department that has to replace figures due to his decision. This is not uncommon in the corporate world, MY bottom line is what is important, who cares if the net effects costs the company/customers/country more money. It is pretty much standard corporate governance.

This isn't the fault of the post office, by the way. The figures I've gotten from them aren't even marked as fragile or special handling. It's bulk mail/cheapest rates. It gets thrown in the big bin and bagged up with the rest of the bulk stuff. The post office carriers don't know what is in it cannot tolerate having things put on top of it. The trucks aren't big enough for them to lay everything out flat "just in case".

If there's enough people having them ship a new undamaged fig or two, or in the really unfortunate situations, even more, then that money will add up. If they were going to give the person a bonus for cutting s&h before, I doubt they will now. The beancounters will see to that.

No, they won't. Those sorts of losses will be classified into another bucket. Not to mention, a high percentage probably won't complain. That's the beauty of it, those sorts of losses can be insulated from the direct source as long as the money keeps flowing in. That's how most corporations work these days. I've seen departments in some I've worked at and for that will literally demolish other departments of the company if it makes their own department's bottom line look better. The entire financial industry meltdown was caused by mortgage groups taking HUGE risks with little regard to the impact to the rest of the company/country. And all those "gurus" that caused it? Still there, and they got bonuses too - because hey, can't lose all that talent!

LOL, I got the one for my wife's Rewards account today in the mail. It came in a box, a 12"x12"x6" box. One figure and LOTS of plastic bubbles. They probably could have fit a 8-10 figures in the box. At least it was completely unblemished.

So this explains why it was near impossible to find one on ebay that wasnt damaged, and i didnt. The one I ended up buying was bundled with quick draw rattle shake and has a dent in the bubble. But I definitely saw worse.

Mine came and Gill Grunt was actually detached from his jet pack. I called and asked for a new one, and did the ask-for-the-box thing. They actually sent him in the box, and it's in stellar shape. I'm a happy apple.

Strangely enough, I saw one of these guys in a local store. I handed it to a happy mother who was trying to find a birthday gift for her sons friend.
