Praying for a miraculous recovery to our skylanders lost islanders. I fear it is dead.

Sad to say, but I think this game is done... Funny thing is, the reason it's probably been let go, was it wasn't pulling in gigantic amounts of money for some tie wearing executive. It's all about the money... Unfortunately... They probably moved the dev team onto the next "cash cow"

I know it looks bleak, but when they stopped supporting Skylanders Universe, they gave plenty on notice. I don't see it being any different for Lost Islands, which is a game that a lot of people actually play.

It was a good run. I played the game fairly religiously for just shy of a year. I can't recall playing any other game for that long, and it's nice to have that time back, frankly. I have barely been playing and will probably play even less going forward. I have almost nothing to play for, after all.

I've said it before and I will say it again if given the opportunity, but while the game itself was fun, this community made it great. I really enjoyed interacting with all of you.

I've been free of the app since Nov. or Dec. and I can just say, my days are very happy. Life goes on, even though the itch persists at first.

I cannot even get my game to load....are you others having the same problem?

i'm gonna be sad as this is the only game that me and my wife meet

she's more into mobile games.. while i'm into console and pc games..

besides anything else's in bed.. we enjoy playing skylanders together with the ipad

Game is loading fine here. Touch wood.

I am just going to play less. I'll keep my houses going once a day.

If when the content becomes more active, I'll do the same.

I will say, I *WILL* remember this next time my kids ask for another Skylander. I'll point them towards Infinity...

Doing the same - log in once a day - pray for something new to recapture my interest but no - live in hope

I felt the need to buy the toys more for this than the actual video game... Not sure if losing this game will decrease my actual toy purchase, probably will just get the ones my son likes.

I've probably earned 2-3k gems since the game has went inactive and it'll be pretty sweet if they update it and I have all those to spend once again.

Ive always played it slowly, been playing for a year and still not leveled out.

I bought a Legendary Bouncer specifically for lost islands . My reason was I won a hall of legends .

If I tell you the number of toys that " I have bought for my son", because I was playing lost islands...... He has 31 from skylanders giants and 9 from skylanders swap force, we was waiting for the new figures that are not for sale yet, but I'm very angry with how developers left the game. All of us thought we would continue game , they put assignments for the christmas holidays. I even bought a pack of gems in January thinking about the new things when they return from vacation....
Activision has no obligation to give us años explanation, but when we had problems in the past, they have always been in touch with us. I don't like the way they have "disappeared of the map", so I will finish the game (a few skylanders up to level 15, and 2 companions that I don't need, but i have sufficent gems to buy them), and no more ..... only to say " I finished the game " but of I don't see an upgrade sonó, I will not buy a toy never, as much as my son beg!!!
I'll keep sending gifts to my friends every day if I can do it, as I have done so far....
I also keep seeing the forum every day because I liked to share tris game with you.

If your son has a fun and loves playing with Skylander why punish him this cruel way to have a feeling for yourself that you proved something mythical to Activision? They won't they even notice your riot or sneeze about it and they don't care at all but your son does.

You are right, activision don't care because I'm angry. But the last time I bought gems they had shelved the game (we suspected ) and my small contribution buying gems was a way to support the game, the same buying a toy. If they don't Support the game, I'm not going to do it with my money.
As a mother, I think my son has enough figures to continue playing well, he doesn't need more, he didn't need to have a lot of figures to play his PS3 games, but as we were playing lost islands, when he paid me to buy a figure, I did a blind eye and I bought it.
Now he says to me that he does't understand because I continue playing if the game is bored because no new things.
I wait you underestand my point of veiw. Is only a personal point of view, but some of us have invested a lot of time in this game, we looked strategies and sharing it in the forum, I have enjoyed so much, so I feel annoyed.

I won't punish my son by not buying toys but I certainly won't surprise him with any.

I've come to the realization that I have over-spoiled my kids with toys and video games any way. They need to play less with that stuff and do more school work and active activities. So I don't feel bad putting the stop on more Skylanders, which I have also done.

The game isn't dead, it is just in the Wave 3 lull, when Wave 4 hits then they will add them. This is part of the reason I don't buy gems, time warp, etc. I support them by buying figures, so I'm not worried about that part. Part of the "challenge" in the game is succeeding without taking shortcuts, it isn't like it is "challenging" in the normal sense of the word. Every game has an essential "end" where you have done and seen it all. If you take shortcuts or buy gems you reach that point faster. There is no reward for "beating" the game, however you define that - just the personal satisfaction of having done everything you feel is worth doing.

I was actually kinda surprised they expanded into Swap Force content. There is only so much they can do with the format without adding complexity - and complexity you do not touch until you are well along in the game. Make it too complex too early and people give up quickly.

I don't need to expolian more, I totally agree with you, I've often exceeded too much buying skylanders with no particular reason why the gift is deserved.

Strange thing happened to me today when I was trying to visit my friend and pick up invite kudos the game crashed back to my home screen and somehow refreshed every task from the start of the game? I am at level 40 and now have 100+ tasks to complete. I tried visiting my friends a few hours later and the same crash result and the completed tasks I had done in that time once again refreshed. Some tasks automatically completed themselves but some such as buy a new island and restore sanctuary are going to be tricky to complete;-}. It does breathe some fresh air into the game and I generated 200 diamonds today but there is definite a bug in there somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this?

I wanted to play this... doesn't work on my Galaxy Trend Plus even though by all appearances it should. But if they've stopped properly supporting the thing anyway... oh well.
