I've been seeing a lot of these types of auctions where people have loaded up characters with 20,000+ coins (some still even in the box) to sell at a higher price. I'm happy to see that these haven't been selling very well.

The reason some of these Mickeys are selling for so much is because they are a limited exclusive that was only available at the D23 convention and a couple other small handouts at other Infinity events.

I thought you wanted the debate to stop. Regardless, Matteo already stated that he saw the difference in that one stated the title said it was custom while the other said it was a variant. It may be splitting hairs to some but it makes a difference to some. What else is left to debate?

I'm not a regular ebayer so forgive my ignorance, but why are you calling these ebay listers Ignoramus and stupid? I'm sure there's some detail I didn't notice at quick glance that justifies the name calling and the ousting in this ebay fail thread, but I didn't see it.

I can't seem to open the second page but I think he's saying it's too much money being asked for the first one. Personally for 17 figures and the pS3 game, that's not the worst I've seen.

Those are reasonable prices when you consider all that is included....especially the one that has lots of swappers.

They also both have "Best Offer" buttons. Which means that they're negotiable. Almost all "Best Offer" listings have high "Buy It Now" prices. That's common negotiation practice.

edit: The second one even has Darklight Crypt.

How much you want to bet he looked ONLY at what was seen in the first picture, completely disregarded the other pictures and description which specified everything that was included and hastily posted them up with some trash talk?

If that's the case it's an example of ebay fail but not on the seller's part. Just giving you a hard time so you pay more attention next go around

Okay--quick EBAY rant--we all know who the ebay sellers who sell figures all year long at just disgusting prices. Anywsy--I sold a few figures on ebay at fair prices. I looked at the other sellers and cjarged the least of anyone else. Well 2 sellers bought from me--one as actually messaging me trying for lower price. Once they had paid--both listed the figures they bought from me at 8x and 10x what I sold it for. Ugh!! Please don't tell me that I chose the price I listed them at and it's none of my business what happens from there--I know that. It's just so frustrating.

That's why you don't low ball as a good deed. The scalpers will just buy them out to eliminate the competition. If they are selling a figure for $80 and you put one up for $20, it makes buyers go "hmm, this seems to only be worth $20" and they don't pay attention to the scalper auctions. That's how they artificially keep prices high - by eliminating the reasonable auctions (and then profiting off the goods). It's best to only go slightly lower on price. That's the only way prices will go down naturally, is if the competing auctions are either too numerous or too expensive for them to eliminate.

It's the same game on Diablo or World of Warcraft. There are people that play those games to simply play the auction house markets. On EBay, the stakes are higher since it is real money - but it's the same thrill. Although I think eliminating competition (controlling supply) is part of the strategy, I would think easy profit would be a much higher motivator in this case. I don't know that offering a slightly lower price is going to change the market much unless you have a significant supply to sell. Take the Green Gill Grunt for example. Price was around $50 previously (I think) and now it's down in the teens since TRU is giving them away. It's just supply and demand.

That's not to say that eliminating competition (controlling supply), giving fake bids (controlling demand), and preying on the naive doesn't happen on ebay.

The "No Bottle" Pop Fizz 2nd one the jerk is using my pictures, I have a true "No Bottle" Pop Fizz that was found at my local retailer. The box has not been opened in anyway I had it posted on a friends Blog and alot of people have since replicated it by faking it. So now these on Ebay are fakes using my pics the first one u listed you can tell the seller resealed and took the bottle out of his hand. Again the second one is my pics and before anyone says show pics I will and will put my forum name with it.

Neither of the pictures are yours... I went through the trouble of looking through the Factory Error thread where you posted it, and it's nothing like yours.

That last one has to be a typo. The seller has another SA for DS (sans Dark Spyro) for $19. He also states that pack sells in stores for $70, so get it cheaper from him. He obviously meant to sell it at a lower price.

He goes on in the description to state that Ignitor is retired, and you can't get him in stores on online. Wrong on both accounts, although his definition of retired is that there was no S3 Ignitor.

The biggest fail is the second one. He's showing off the code. It's probably now unusable. This world... *headdesk*

Just so you guys know some people who sell on Ebay when they sellout instead of ending the auction early ( fees associated ) they will raise the price to a absurd amount so the item doesn't sell.

Some of these are more than likely typos which has already been stated.

For instance we have one of each giant with crusher cardboard and we have one of each giant with a physical error. Thoughts?? (By giants I am referring to the actual giants such as ninjini thumpback etc.)

You can do what I did with my Riptide error that I recently sold. I put a ad up for a obsurd amount, just to draw attention. Then list it as a Best offer then you decide how much. I got tons of offers most were between $10 - $30. I got one for $60 and thought that was a great price and accepted it. $60 for a $10 dollar toy and the buyer paid what he wanted to.
