Yeah, that's bs that you had to spend it in one order. I certainly didn't, and i didn't buy the game on launch day either.

Also, I just got an email confirming that mine was shipping out. Information isn't up yet on UPS's website but I'm expecting it sometime within the week.

they just responded to my email. they apologized that i was given miss information and said i DO indeed qualify, and that it's been escalated and ill get ANOTHER email in 3-5 days.

I just got my shipping info for the free figure. Information isn't up either. I'm glad they sent that email saying they were wrong because it's bad enough that more than half of the qualifying reward members didn't get the voucher, but to backtrack and lie about how the promotion worked? That's wrong...

I just got off the phone with them, and the lady said I was one of 9,000 people that didn't get the e-mail yet, and that they would be sent by the end of the day tomorrow. So many different stories here, it's crazy.

I just called and was told the same thing... I have very little faith that this will be corrected as they say, as this is actually the second skylanders email promo they have screwed up for me. I never did get an email for an extra figure with the preorder that they ran a couple times, luckily I brought the promo documentation when I picked up my starter kit and the kid at the register just discounted one for me.

I received the one I ordered. It indeed came in a freakin' envelope, but the pack itself was in near perfect condition.

The envelope was torn up, for some reason..

Finally got my confirmation email! Only took....4 calls even using the secondary phone number that BahamutBreaker was able to provide for 3 of the 4 calls. Ugh, what a mess.

I have another loose Gilly (From China), and that one actually has a darker paint job than this one.

Not to mention that the packaged one's ear.. fin.. thing is covered in gold paint.

The one I ordered on Friday arrived today. It came in a box as I ordered some other things so the package is pristine:

I seriously don't understand their packaging technique. Why in the world would TRU CHOOSE to ship two items separately, increasing cost and provided lopsided care? Do they store certain figures in one warehouse and another figure in a different location? It begs to question their logic.

Oh no, I didn't even think that the would send him the the dreaded shipping envelope! Hopefully he will be pristine like the Lightcore Jet-Vac I had to order when he was so hard to find.

Yeah I don't see that bugger anywhere...but he was popular on the shelves for quite a while during the first 3-4 months of Giants.

So I followed the BahamutBreaker Instructions just now. I called tier 1 and got the case number. When I called tier two they said they realize there was a glitch. They claim over 9,000 people did not get the email. They said I should get the email on Thursday. Should I not, I can call back with my case number .... whatever. I ordered one as backup.

I qualified for the coupon... Never got it. I ordered one just to be safe and I got it today. Of course it came in a bubble mailer so the plastic was pushed in and bent a bit. What a joke. I work for a terrible company... -___-

Another reason TRU sucks!.....mailing these things in bubble mailers!...I mean really!

I mixed experiences with toys r us I have ordered two figures before came at different times the first came in a box that was huge for a core figure the, the next came in a bubble mailer beat to heck and bent to peices. I think it's whoever is packing these things some will use boxes some won't

Still haven't received my SE Gill Grunt that I ordered last week, it's just sitting at the local post office waiting until Friday the expected delivery are The free one is coming on Saturday so it says..

Got my package it was in box and packaged with care, started getting all out and there were 2 SE Gill grunts and 1 LC countdown and a letter stating they replaced my LC countdown with another SE Gill grunt. I am not worried I am glad I got another one instead of the LC countdown.

This is for anyone who received a damaged gill grunt.....I just got off the phone with customer service and demand that I got a new one sent to me in a box...explained to them that the shipping cost for item to show up in a envelope was ludicrous.... Got full return on shipping and have a new gill grunt being shipped in a box...and get to keep old one, even though I said I would return it to my local store!......so I would recommend calling them and tell them your experience in a nice way...and maybe get the same results.... Good Luck

My Tracking # finally registered and shipped from OH on the 21st. I live in California so it is expected to be here by the 29th.

My free one should be here Friday. I fully expect it in an envelop and damaged.

I just got off the phone and requested a replacement in a box for the one I purchased. I agree if you charge me $8 for shipping don't send my item in an envelop. Should be here in another 6-10 days.

I'm actually in Ohio. Mine says its in some place called "Urbancrest", OH..never heard of it. According to the shipping info, it should get here by the 24th. I'm assuming it will come damaged though so I'll definitely be calling in to TRU.

Since you are in the same State, you have better luck getting it in great shape than I do since I live as far west as possible.

The Gilly I ordered showed up today in a bubble envelope its in perfect condition though. I did call TRU and demanded a refund on the shipping cost to which they apologized and issued a refund and a replacement figure in a box >.>... I explained I just wanted a shipping refund but they insisted on sending a new figure so now I have 3 Gilly's

PS: If TRU screws up your order and the item costs less than $15, ask them to send the right item. Their customer service will send you a new one and tell you to keep the incorrect item.

For whatever reason, if the item costs less than $15, they figure it's cheaper not to do return shipping. They don't even want it back to the store.

Found it on ebay. Ironically the seller is toysrus and the shipping is cheaper than their website price 5.99 vs 7.99. Plus you can order more than one (the trs website allows only one per order). Shipping is only .50 per additional item.

last night a nice lady called me in response to my heartfelt email about how they lied to me and my being such a loyal customer. the lady kind of made it sound like she didnt care if i had qualified, but she just wanted to make sure i was happy. so they are sending me the free one, and i should get it in a week. she even made sure i received the confirmation email before we got off the phone.

so yeah. that was was kind of difficult.

Mine came in today, had a slight bump to the bubble but it also had the frost for it being so cold here after I opened the envelope it came in. So I have a special edition frosted gill grunt.

I'd be a little careful, they've had 199 negative feedback in the last month alone and over 1,000 negative feedback in the last year.

I don't sell on eBay, but that feedback is funny. The stories I hear of eBay cutting off sellers for4 or 5 negative feedbacks... and they have 200 in a month? Wow.

Yes, I received mine. It was in a bubble mailer envelope, as expected, and the plastic inside was damaged, as expected. Fortunately, I open Skylanders' boxes, so I don't care about the condition of the packaging. I know many members here do care, though, and I would encourage those folks to keep their expectations for Toys R Us shipping very low.

eBay is lenient with corporate level Sellers. Money talks. Toys R Us does so much volume of eBay sales that it's worth it, financially, for eBay, even despite the potential ramifications on eBay's reputation due to the hundreds of Negative Feedbacks comments for TRU's profile. Individual sellers, however ... yes, they can get the axe from eBay very quickly if even a handful of Negative Feedback comments accumulate on one's profile.

It is probably percentage based. They have over 8,000 completed auctions in the past month. I'm sure they also factor in other things as well, and cutting off a major retailer takes a lot more than some dude with 20 auctions in their history.

I called back today and got my case started. I will follow up with them here soon so I can get my free goodies...

I remember when they offered Thumpback WAY before his release, and they randomly cancelled the 50+ orders they had for him.

I guess you didn't see their total negative feedback for the year.. 1,421.

1421 is 2% of their 64647 total positive feedback.

I've read a lot of negative reviews in regards to poor packaging ordering from their website here just from ds members. So yeah I'll take my odds with ebay.

From my experience with Legendary Stealth Elf, eBay still sent me it in an envelope, resulting in a horribly crushed figure.

My free one arrived yesterday, but it was not TOOOOOO crushed. Card is OK, and the blister was only crushed at the top. Figure was fine, and I could pop most of the dents out. Only a couple of creases left in the blister. Good thing it will get returned. I open all the in-game variants, but something like this variant I prefer to keep MOC.

My free one was terribly crushed. It came today.
They're definitely getting a complaint.

I'm one of those still haven't gotten an email voucher yet. Have emailed them several times and they keep saying "Email was sent". Time for a phone call today..
