Special Edition Gill Grunt Email Perk! [CLOSED]

Like most of you I ordered the Special Edition Gill Grunt just in case the coupon doesn't come in time or I can't make it ToysRUs in time. I just got this email saying I qualified for a free Special Edition Gill Grunt from my last order (which was a Special Edition Gill Grunt) The Figure is free and shipping! So here's the email, code is blotted out.

I also just received my email today already placed my order in should be here by 1/21 or 1/24 I would buy one but that $7.99 shipping fee is insane. So I'll just stick with the free one I'm getting.

Aww, man. I got all excited and checked my email... nothing. So I logged in to my my Rewards"R"Us account there is nothing listed there either. I hate having to be patient.

You might check to make sure your email address with toysrus rewards is correct. I know there are choices on what you want sent to your email address.

Ok Thanks, I still have not received anything. Guess I better buy one then to make sure I get it. Was hoping to just get the email. I was really close to the 100 limit so maybe I didn't spend enough on qualifying stuff.

The e-mail you received is most definitely the one for spending over $100 before December 31. I just got off the phone with Toys R Us customer service. The lady I spoke with read the exact wording from the e-mail that was posted when I questioned her about not receiving mine yet. All of the customer service reps were sent the e-mail so that they would know what customers were talking about when they called in. The woman told me that e-mails would be sent by tomorrow, but that most everyone should receive them by the end of the day today. Her higher-ups were not able to find a list, so I was unable to make sure that I was on the e-mail list. I spent well over the $100, but I wanted to confirm that they had not missed me on the list. I guess that I will have to remain patient.

Thank you for posting this. I was thinking of calling them myself because I still have no email and I'm afraid of missing out. I guess I will wait until tomorrow morning and if I still don't have anything, then I will call.

That makes me feel a luttle better. Have not yet recieved an email, I did spend over $100 on Swap Force launch day.

Launch day does not count unless it registered it on the 13th, but as far as I know and what customer service and rewards r us said anything in there system that is before the 13th does not count. I spent well over $200 on launch day but none of it counted. Just glad I spent $100 after that.

Well shoot, then customer service is getting a call from me, because my TRU was telling everyone on launch day that if they spent over $100 that day that'd we'd get acoupon for a free Gill Grunt in January. I still may have spent $100 on Skylanders after launch day there, I'll check when I get home, but that very much irks me. Thanks TRU.

Just checked and even without my launch day purchases, I still spent over $100 on Skylanders, so I should be getting the coupon. If nothing shows up tomorrow I'll give them a call.

FYI Zelda: purchases made during the day on October 13th 2013 do count toward this promotion.

It's the purchases made by folks at midnight 12:00 AM October 13th in select TRU stores that might not be counted.

Yea I told them that also that we were told that since it was a midnight release that if we spent $100 or more that we would receive the voucher for the SE Gill Grunt. They said that they should have not said that, and since at that time they really did not know the official rules. That the ad had stated Oct.13th-Dec.31st. Reason was that they expected reward r us members were going to definitely spend $100 on release night and that would probably make everyone qualify and there possibly not be enough stock to go around, so they made it start the 13th for that reason, now I understand why they would not redo my release night purchases to the 13th.

It makes no difference to me because I spent well over $100 even when you take out my release day totals. However, I do believe that 12:00 AM does constitute a change of date. I understand that the computer systems of Toys R Us had not been restarted to reflect the new date, but 12:00 AM is most definitely a new date. No Swap Force purchases were legally made before October 13. Toys R Us might try to balk on this one, but technically those customers who bought Skylanders at the midnight release did qualify for the promotion.

Still have not gotten my email. Called and was told that I should receive the email by midnight tonight. They said if I don't to call tomorrow, and gave me a case number. Fingers crossed, I guess.

Still no email for me and I totaled my purchases from my rewards account from 10/16 to 12/21 = $164... (well within the gudelines and not including launch purchases). We shall see.. smilie
