Okay, I know some of us are still looking for some of the Wave 3 stuff (I still need Stink Bomb and SWI). I know there's some folks on here from overseas who haven't gotten much Wave 3 stuff at all... but, looking through the list... is this everything that's left?
Scratch Air Core
Fryno Fire Core
Punk Shock Water Core
Bumble Blast Life Lightcore
Turbo Jet-Vac Air Series 2
Fire Bone Hot Dog Fire Series 2
Doom Stone Earth SWAP
Trap Shadow Magic SWAP
Freeze Blade Water SWAP
Jade Fire Kraken Fire Variant
Nitro Freeze Blade Water Variant
Enchanted Star Strike Magic Variant
World Cup Countdown Tech Variant
Springtime Trigger Happy Tech Variant
Three core figure + two series 2 figures.
One Lightcore.
Three SWAP figures.
Five in-game variants.
Outside of any curveballs like Best Buy threw this week... is this it? Are we almost done?

They need to just release them all and be done with it already. I really hate how they string these releases out every year.

This matches what's left inside the 3DS game. We've covered a lot of figures in a small amount of time...I hope we don't have this conversation in April.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

Prob some other specials in there like sprocket, i could see them doing 1-2 more somewhere in there. Then of course there is whatever they give out at the toy fair this year.

It's actually better for everybody. For one, it's easier to release them separately as it would be difficult to ship them all out at once as you would have to have cases with only 1 of each and still not be able to get them all in there. The stores would be overwhelmed. The consumers would also be overwhelmed with getting them all. Having the releases strung out not only helps inventory and customer's wallets, but also keeps the hype going all year. The consumers are constantly looking for something new, which is good for both Activision and retailers. By the time they all get released, it's almost time to look forward to the next game. They're pretty smart with the way they release things. If only they would minimize how many there are. |

I agree for the most part but the only way I would switch it up is to release all the new ones through say the first 2 or 3 waves and then do the reposes and Variants. Allow the game to played too completion by the end of the second or third wave. Your still gonna get people involved with the variants and exclusives but you don't have upset parents and kids around Christmas time because they can't find the one new guy that doesn't come out till mid February. That's my only gripe. If you want to put the reposes in with the first couple waves do it the other way around. Only put one or two of them in the box. Make more space for the new ones. Then as the last few waves comes out finish with more of them. |

Everyone hoping that the remaining unreleased Skylanders won't be "drawn out" over the coming months is setting themselves up for disappointment. Remember that Activision withheld one of the basic figurines from the Giants series (Lightcore Hex) all the way until October 2013. And there were other "late in the cycle" releases, too, such as the "Pumpkin" Eye Brawl, Halloween Fright Rider, and the "blurple" colored chase variants.
I'm sure the majority of the figurines listed in the OP will be released sometime between now and April 1st. However, there will definitely be two or three that don't see store shelves until Summer or later. Hard to predict exactly which those will be.

I thought Bumble Blast was the last Lightcore, but Enchanted Star Strike is a Lightcore too.

I really like the way that Skylanders are released. It gives me something to look forward to throughout the year and helps me from getting bored of Skylanders after the 2 month honeymoon phase. It also just makes sense for the people that stock these toys. Could you imagine TRU getting all of the Skylanders at the same time? Where would they put them all?
