Competitive ones <.< ones through breeding. Yeah wild shinies r cool but u have no control over them. The charm lowers the odds to like 1 in 1,300. If i have to have that many encounters and have that shiny b the wrong pokemon its kind of a let down. I'd rather hatch that many eggs knowing that when that shiny comes, its the one i want. Plus u cant control it's IVs if its a wild pokemon.

You can control the natures, at least. And considering safari has 2 perfect IVs on each, It will only take you a bit of luck to get something useful....


Or RNG...

It's your 3DS friends list. You have to add the other person on your actual 3DS and then they show up on your friends list in the game when you're both online.

Get a Pokemon with the Frisk ability. It will tell you what/if it holds an item as soon as you enter battle. You don't even have to fight.

Just keep Friend Safari'ing until you find one. It took me a day to find my Shiny Shelgon. Don't quit the method you're doing until you find a shiny. (unless you get almost over 3,000 eggs on MM)

Breed starters and use GTS to look for shinies. Trade your starter.
