Please add me to the U.S. hat tour next week?

I forgot to ask this, but I wanted to know: Is a standard envelope safe to send it in, or are we going for those padded ones? And if not the padded type, should we just try placing it between two stiff cardboard pieces/stiffer paper/plastic bits? I'm not sure how vulnerable an rfid chip really is.

I'd love to know as well so I can get it right back out when it's our turn. Maybe the people who have shipped it out or gotten it can let us know what they used?

I don't know about the UFO card, but I know that new US passports come with an RFID chip in the back cover. There are numerous websites explaining how to "accidentally" disable the chip with a basic carpenter's tool to prevent identity theft. It involves a fairly large amount of force. (It is technically illegal to disable the chip intentionally.)

*blinks* Um...well, ok. I didn't know that. I was sorta meaning the physical vulnerabilities, but thanks for the info.

A standard envelope is fine. No padded mailer needed. The RFID chip was packaged by me in a way that it will not get damaged.

Ok US Tour, any news? If you haven't gotten a reply to your pm in a week or possibly 2, I would suggest moving onto the next person on the list. If the person skipped comes back and wants in, they can be added to the end. Well, that's my suggestion. Also, I might add the possible suggestion that if you know you'll be gone for a few days in the future, let the list know the dates, so nobody's wondering why you didn't respond. It's a thought anyway.

Can I please be added to the Canadian tour. I know it's stalled, but I'm optimistic it will start up again.

I don't know where it is at the moment but is it too much to ask to be added? I'm in TN USA.

If it is not too late, I would like to be placed on the US list. I am in Kentucky, USA.

I think the Canadian Tour is dead. On Dec. 31 matsplat99 said he still hadn't received it. I haven't heard from him since. Since Landersky said he mailed it on Nov. 23 it looks like it was lost in the mail. I think they are both in southern Ontario so it should only take a few days.

Anyone else care to donate to another Canadian Tour to get it going again? It seems that there are a few others that would like to be added to the tour.

I was about to come in and ask if I should move onto the next person on the us tour but I got the answer to my question. will pm the next person then.

Try to give the last one some more time. If it's been 2 weeks and no response, then I'd suggest moving onto the next one. But please remember that I'm not the organizer of the Tour. If they wish to have you check for longer, then do it their way. We haven't even asked if they'd be willing to add anyone skipped onto the list if they come back later so...*shrugs* It's still in the air.

I'd like to participate in this, but I don't think my gem count is enough. I'll start trying to bring that number up.

It takes a few weeks to increase gem count, since it's not dependent on number of posts. I have given up on this hat tour, having bought one from Amazon, particularly since the list has not been updated in weeks. It was a nice gesture.

I'm the third but it hasn't even gotten to the second. We are going to need another hat to get the Canadian tour going again.

Usa tour isn't dead just stalled. I emailed the two people after me. I'm now waiting on an email from the third one. if not the fourth one after me has already contacted me so if all else fails i'll send it to them and we'll keep it going from there. sorry I haven't been on to keep checking I've been pretty sick and am just now feeling better.

Some people were still wanting to be added like me and several others just waiting for a message from the moderator of this page

I don't know if this would actually help or further confuse, but I ordered a UFO hat card off of ebay for myself and I'm expecting that later this month. I would be happy to donate that to the community's UFO hat tour once I have it, I just don't know if I would personally be able to manage the list and whatnot.

Since the OP posted on her 1st post that she'll be away for a bit. (Hopeing for the best for her family) Is anyone willing to start a new thread, you could just copy most of the list & add the few to asked to be add on the last few pages.
I thought of doing it my self but I'm a homeschooling mom w/ my review looming and hubby may have a torn rotator cuff. That's added to the choas of normal everyday life & other current crisis and I've not been able to even keep up just reading threads lately.

Hope all is going well for you and yours. Blessings to all and I'm hoping for some down time soon, haven't even been able to see the new skylanders or packs from wave 3.
