There's a thread about the GameStop Promo today. Some found wave 3 and others didn't.

Hey, I'm new to darkSpyro and I went today.My nearest Gamestop didn't have wave 3,nor did they have the poster.All the posters were destroyed by a recent storm in our area(I live in Chicago), so that stunk... so freaking bad.

My GameStop was horribly stocked. Just awful for SSF as a whole, let alone wave 3.

This comes as no surprise GameStop skylanders day was like that last year to...

they had just old stuff, sucked. Didn't even bother.

i didn't bother, have all of Wave 3 and the Sidekicks so nothing i needed.

There was never any post saying they would get wave 3 today, and Gamestop is a video game store not a toy store, like Toys R Us is. I'm a Gamestop employee and we are sent Skylanders based on how many we sell. We don't sell many and unless it's strictly said that we are supposed to have certain ones there is no need to get shipment for them to warm the shelves.

The problem is, if you don't buy more unless they sell and you've got only wave 1s, doesn't that mean you never sell them? That doesn't sound like a very sound practice. Maybe getting a box of the new figs, and if they sell, get more. Then you're not using all your space on them, but you at least have what people want, which hopefully in turn, encourages them to buy more stuff. At least, that's the theory.

My gamestop didn't get any wave 3 boxes delivered. The manager was disappointed. But again--as others stated--they didn't advertise that they would have them.

My got swappers but no swi going to Walmart to hopefully find it th GameStop employees were jerks and didn't answer any questions I had

We all know that skylanders figures are toys but my point is they should still sell them in a video games store since the skylanders starter pack is a video game after all and you need the figures to play it.

Yet they still stocks them even though its not high demand, even here in my location our grocery store stocks skylanders figures even though its not high demand but they still do stocks them. We all know that skylanders figures are toys but my point is they should still sell them in a video games store since the skylanders starter pack is a video game after all and you need the figures to play it.

Like I said before, if we aren't selling them why get some more in? We got Wave two in weeks later and they are coming in more frequently but don't complain when a store that doesn't specialize in Toys, doesn't have new Toys.

Who said i was complaining, others here might be complaining but im just saying the fact that video games store should be selling skylanders figures since the skylanders starter pack is a video game.

I was hoping to find the cores and lightcores of wave 3 at my game stop but its kinda a hole in the wall type that doesn't get noticed too much so they don't get their new supplies right away. I was a little mad that the poster was the same from the old promotion. Big deal

So, you bought $140 worth of cases and Guide?
My math does not calculate a couple of cases, a guide to equal to $140. especially when the accessories are 50% off.

My store didnt care about everything in the purchase being Skylanders. They just wanted you to spend money. They were happy to give away sidekicks with every $20 spent, probably just to clear the box of them so it didnt take up space in the back.

That's good, since most GS did not get any W3 figures, just old stock.

Awfully nice of them. Although, considering they had accessories at half-off, and you really need places to put them all, it's not bad to buy those. I wish that old gaming store was still in my area so I could get the wonderful (and CHEAP) sturdy card boxes. The 3 row ones are great for storing figs. Even the Swappers will fit in them!

i talked to countless gamestops and said, they were supposed to get them yesterday.

Huh. My gamestop didn't count the Starter at full price for the purpose of getting the figs. She only counted how much I spent. Your GS is obviously very good to you!

How in god's name is that rude?

Being a GS employee, this is how they work, they WILL NOT restock for the sake of a new wave. They will send them out when a supply is low. but only the oldest first. The store i work at currently has slowly started to see wave 2 come in. its stupid and poor planning by GS. Another reason i highly suggest purchasing your Skylanders else where. Heck i get a 15% discount on them and i still would rather go to TRU

Don't misinterpret my tone here. I am just curious why you consider these toys more so than video game accessories? It's not like these are the Mega Blocks sets. Again, just curious.

This is exactly why GameStop is the lowest of the low when it comes to Skylanders shopping. If anyone didn't learn their lesson after the first terrible Skylanders GameStop "festival" last Spring, hopefully this repeat failure on GameStop Skylanders "day" event v 2.0 will finally get it through everybody's skulls ... GameStop is a GREAT store to purchase used/pre-owned software ... and a TERRIBLE store for Skylanders.

I found all 3 wave 3 swappers at my local GS yesterday they said they only received 2 of each and have no idea when more will come in. I actually did a surprise video on rubble rouser already too.

My game stop just got 3 of each of the new swappers and 6 each of the new skylanders (hyper beam, phantom cynder and dune bug).
