I was in Manassas, VA today visiting my aunt and randomly stopped in a Toys R Us. Would you believe on the very bare shelves a Hyper Beam Prism Break was just staring me in the face!! Totally made my day!!

Finally found HB Whirlwind on Saturday:

Not ultra-rare, but was at the local Wal-Mart and saw they had a couple of Scorpion Catapults and individual Giants Figures that are getting harder to find. They had single S2 , single and single S2 among the harder to find ones I saw.

I picked up the Stinger, so finally got to play and !

Picked up a boomer off ebay finally. Got tired of trying to find one local, and when I did find one they want you to buy there whole set of figures. Got it for 34 I guess that's good idk it was supposed to be here today but usps fudged up and it got routed to California this morning when I live in NC

finally got my hands on royal double trouble and the platinum treasure chest! found it on kijiji for 45 for the two

Yup, right from the case pack. They had all of wave 3. They had jusr gotten them in.

I bought Fiery Forge Battle Pack from my PX. I was going to get Gnarly Tree Rex, (Which they had at least 10+ of since last week, scalpers prob. got to it before me ) but they had none, and my dad took time out of his day to go for me, so I bought it so it wasn't for nothing.

I have 3 terrafins and 2 Bumble Blasts now, (I have every series of Terrafin, and both versions of BB, now) but I really wanted the Fiery Forge item.

I regret nothing.

Got the Sheep Wreck Island pack, and the 2 LightCores!

I ordered rubble rouser, stink bomb, and the sheep wreck island adventure pack on amazon earlier in the morning.

I was in a target for the first time in ages. There so absolutely zero swappers, all the after-xmas people got crazy for them apparently. But there was a TON of giants figurines (yet no actual giants, just cores and lightcores). And a ton of fright-riders.

But out of the corner of my eye, hidden behind a bunch of others sitting on a display and not hanging was a singular series 2 drobot. When spyro's adventure came out I wanted drobot yet at the same time didn't, it was odd so I didn't bother. So I decided to give the little guy a home.

At the same time I gave 2 separate adults the lowdown on skylanders swap force because they had that "I have no idea wtf i am doing" look on their face.

Just got back from TRU. Found both the SWI & Ark. Crossbow sets and both Countdown & Wham-Shell LCs. And they had quite a few of all of them as well as all three Series 3 Swappers.

I saw that, too.

The official release date for her is this Sunday.

I would advise a word of caution about Best Buy store pickup. I actually had an issue not too long ago where I ordered an item, they actually sent me the "ready for pickup" email...and the item was not available. Matter of fact, their inventory said they had like 14 of the item and they couldn't find any after about 15 minutes of searching. They took my number and I left, and an hour or so later I got a call back from a very helpful employee that they found 1 of the item in the back, and this employee considered it a lucky find.

Either way, their system is not foolproof. I would have thought that the "ready for pickup" email would be pretty much a guarantee. But it isn't, at least as proven by my personal anecdotal experience.

Soup to nuts: I would suggest calling ahead and asking them to physically check before you make a trek to the store - especially if it's something odd like this where the release date and the pickup notice don't jive cuz that could work out funky.

I haven't had any issues with the Best Buys in my area. But the ones around here put a big sticker on all in-store pickup items. So if you're not planning to open the figure, you may need to have your heat gun handy to remove it.

i went in myself since i was out and i had one already pre ordered but seen they could be picked up on 1/09/14 i ask manager he said hold on came back said that they in fact had them and that they would be available on Sunday to pick up i ask about if any would be put in store on pegs and he had no comment and just strongly suggest i pre order it.

Edit: forgot i also ask about if this was US only and he stated for me to check out the FAQ about it so i did and here is the link and overseas skylanders may be out of luck going thru best buy because they dont ship internationally except this:

Pre-ordered 2 BestBuy sprockets one for store pick up one for shipping just in case store goofs....picked up 2 loose boomers at a used game store for 5.95 each. They also had a DLC loose and complete for 35$ but don't need that.

Went to my local TRU on a whim, expecting to see nothing new. The gi-normous display in the front of the store was filled with SSA adventure packs (no Darklight Crypt), but the section in the video game section in the back had plenty of the new swappers plus the new battle pack. Scored all three swappers for the sale price.

BOOM!!!

Just bought Metal Sprocket S2 from Best Buy, and Gnarly Tree Rex from Wal-Mart. Both should be arrving sometime next week, between the 13th-17th.

(EDIT: I forgot to mention I bought them both online with the rest of my Christmas money. Oops!)

I love collecting in-game variants and store exclusive variants. I don't really TRY to find chase variants, but of course I would buy one if I found one.
