Best Buy currently has the 3DS Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack for $19.99
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sk...203ds&lp=1&cp=1
While my local Best Buy in Gainesville, FL didn't have any in stock, my local TRU was happy to price match. TRU currently has their Spryo's Adventure 3DS Starter on sale for $30 on their website (and their stores will price match since it isn't an online only sale)

I realize that many of you might already have this edition of the Skylanders game, but for a portal master and his wife who only started with this series this past January 2013 (and who have now collected almost all the non-variant figures for both SA and Giants), it was a fantastic way to get one of the only variants my wife wanted (Dark Spyro) for cheap and have a great Christmas Stocking surprise for her
My apologies if this is in the wrong place - I've been a LONG time lurker of this site, and wanted to try and give back a little for all the help this site has given us in collecting Skylanders and the items we want most. Merry Christmas Eve and Happy Holidays to all

Updated the OP title as I just realized that the $19.99 Spyro's Starter Pack deal appears to be for all console versions at Best Buy: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and 3DS:

Says game isn't available for shipping on PS3 or any other system except for 3DS.
I have a friend who is getting her son into the game, but he only has Swap Force.

They are currently $39.99 at GameStop right now. While yes, no where near as good as $19.99, but it's the cheapest I've seen otherwise. None of the Best Buys in my area had the PS3 version, but I was able to find several GameStops that did.

Might be worth getting the 3ds version for just the dark Spyro. Don't think they ever made a single pack. Something to think about. that's for sure.

Well Damn, Guess I never saw it then. Never really got into Skylanders till right before Giants came out. I always thought it was only in the 3ds Pack. Even searching online now finds only loose figures of her. |

Keep in mind, my BestBuy didn't have it in stock locally when I posted this thread My TRU has been great about price matching in the past, and that's how I got it this time. I showed them the BestBuy website from my phone, the manager came by for approval, double checked my phone, and then hit up the Internet on their PC real quick, confirmed the pricing, and presto, Spyro's Adventure for the 3DS for $19.99 + tax. The link in the 2nd post still shows the pricing of $19.99 for the PS3/360/3DS/Wii.
In the USA, that was the only way I know of to get Dark Spyro without resorting to eBay/scalpers. The single pack images others linked above are from the UK single pack release as best I recall - and I know I have seen Dark Spyro for sale recently via Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de. |

..Her? Spyro is a guy. No, it wasn't released in the US. It was released in the UK/Ireland on several occasions (exclusive, limited edition, event exclusive, etc). It apparently was to be a Target exclusive, but it was cancelled and recalled for reasons unknown.

We paid about $10.00 in your currency for our 3ds starter and $23.00 for the Ps3 starter . They were selling the PC verson starter for $5.00 which i bought for a friend leaving town . That was October . December my brother asked them for a price list for giants . The Normal Giants Starter cost about $50.00 but the Giants Starter with a Glow in the Dark Cyndar cost once again $23.00 . We also nabbed a 3DS Giants portal owners pack for $10.00 I lost out on Punch Pop fizz and my little brother wanted a painted Cyndar but for that price BIG WHOOP !!! I like how Dark Spyro has Lighting powers in the 3DS . Except for his colour he is pretty much the same in the PS3 .

I do apologize. I meant him. Must have typed it wrong or was thinking of someone else when I was writing that bit. |

That would explain why I haven't seen him. I really haven't been looking online for these figures very often. Just never recalled seeing him in the stores in the states which obviously he wasn't.
