I asked for SSF for the wii U and because I had a wii U and not a wii and got the wii version and I don't have a nunchck or remote and where I live they would cost around 40-60 pounds together to buy

Be warned: The Wii version has a fair amount of problems, even if you do manage to get the nunchuck.
Is there any way the person who got it for you could take it back and pick up the correct version?

I would ignore the Wii as a legitimate platform for this franchise moving forward. Just some friendly words of advice.

Anyways, OP: that stinks. Did they keep the receipt so you could exchange it? Or, maybe you could sell it online and use the money to buy it for Wii U?

Would Walmart allow a return w/o receipt?

There are no Walmarts in the UK. Walmart is the equivalent to ASDA in UK iirc

I think Walmart's policy is:

If you don't have a receipt, they will exchange it for the exact same item. However, I have seen people beat the system. They scan your driver's license to see if you have returned a lot of things at Walmart. It is ultimately not the employee's decision. The system will decide.

Ya exchange it, the wii u version plays alot better and has no issues. Just tell her your friends say the wii version has a ton of bugs and is broken to play and the wii u version runs alot better and is nicer. Plus you want to play on the gamepad too smilie

I don't think he needs to explain all that. Just a simple, "this is the wrong version, let's go exchange it for the Wii U version," should suffice.

My son has both the Wii and Wii U version. If you were to rate the Wii u version as a 9 on a 10 point scale, the Wii version would be a negative 60. The Wii U version is so far superior that it is almost comical. The graphics of course are much better on the Wii U, but there are also things that were left out of the Wii version. If you have a Wii U, there is never any reason to purchase a Wii game that is also available in a Wii U version.
