I'm upset with Hasbro. [CLOSED]

First of all, I do not watch MLP:FiM.
I do not mean to offend anyone who does, I simply do not like the perverted fanbase.

Now, the point I'm trying to make is this; Hasbro once stated that they too dislike the perverted attention MLP has gotten. Part of me had a hard time believing that, as it's certainly making them money. Still, I know it bothers me.

But with the whole "Equestria Girls" thing, I feel like they're giving the perverts fanservice. I mean, that's just what they needed to make the fanbase worse. Human versions of the ponies. Now people are getting the ponies with human bodies, and it's canon.

This time it's not the fanbase I'm upset with, but Hasbro.
That's my opinion.

I personally always hated most humanized versions of characters.

It just feels like a rape of the canon characters..

Now, Hasbro and the people who write and create MLP as a whole are different. Hasbro tells them what they want in the show, and the writers, animators and other people who work at Studio B create it. They really can't tell Hasbro that they don't want to work with something they're told to create. Another example of this was turning Twilight into an Alicorn (Princess, ruler, whatever). But they worked well with it. Equestria Girls could've gone much worse, believe me.

I've always thought that Equestria Girls was the "hated spin-off" of the franchise (hated by bronies anyway).

Then again, I have little to no legit knowledge of the fandom whatsoever. I know some things about the show itself but that's about it.

Also, it's really not uncommon for fans to be like this. Name any fandom - literally any fandom - and this stuff exists. I'm not supporting it or saying it's okay, I'm just saying that I find it strange how people don't get that MLP isn't the first time this has happened.

Besides, Equestria Girls is hardly fanservice - it was to compete with monster Monster High; in which case it failed.

Equestria Girls was made in an attempt to compete with Monster High, and the film was made to see if a spinoff show and toy line would be successful against it. It wasn't made for bronies nor intended as any form of fanservice, nor would it really make a difference when anthro pony art has existed probably before FiM even existed.

It was hated before release but once it came out most of the fanbase felt it ranged from pretty good to downright fantastic (I think it's ok) and I'm pretty sure somewhere out there is a petition to make a sequel.

Usually, when it comes to fanart and what-not, I just ignore the "bad" stuff and move along with the things I like about a fandom. smilie

Would you rather stumble across Equestria Girls (human) naughty artwork or pony naughty artwork let lose Darchangel?
It could easily have been a diversion.

But yeah, pretty much everything has naughty drawings.

EQG was just created to sell dolls. I haven't bought any lol.
