My target store here in Harrisburg pleasantly surprised me with having a good amount of each new swapper out today. There were about 5 of each in the regular section and another 5 of each in the area a little further down where they put them out as well. Now I can rest easy and spend what's left of my Christmas vacation with new swappers.

My Target did not surprise me, another fail once again.
They told me to call on Monday when the next shipment comes in.

My Target had three sets on the new three swaps. Grabbed two sets, one for me and one for a friend of mine

Just called Lakewood and north tacoma. Both are out. They said call back tomorrow.

Even though I bought them on Saturday, I was able to have customer service apply the B2G1 50% off. There were only 2 Spy Rise figures in Target this morning, so I'm glad I picked them up when I did.

Went to 5 Targets in Wichita, KS and no new swappers anywhere...all sold out on Friday/Saturday

Have there been any reports of wave 3 swappers at other stores? Estimated dates that they might receive them? After target's partial failure to deliver on their promise of a 12/29 release, i feel like taking my business to a more reliable source. Even if that means the product is slightly more expensive. Reliable stock/release dates > small price increase, in my opinion.

Other stores should get them in around mid-January.

I have to say this is sad. I know for a fact the Woodinville Target didn't have any street date on their boxes, and that none of the Electronics department was even told about it. Not even a memo. These guys are very helpful and always willing to go back and check, unless they have 50 people waiting in line for the register. So it's not like they weren't doing their job, but that for reasons beyond comprehension, no one had sent any info to the store. I'm gonna suggest they mention that to higher-ups, so this doesn't happen again. I'm sorry that there's been so much trouble just finding them. I expect there'll be more boxes of them coming in later though. I don't know if this would help, but have you tried for a rain check? Since they were slated for the 29th, and it was a special, might there be a possibility that they could do a rain check and give you that bogo50% price when they get more? I'm not sure how it works honestly, but you could always ask.

I was going to get the 2 I could then buy another just to get the deal and then trade the extra once they had it in stock. But I didn't do that since they went ahead and matched the TRU sale and 20% is better than 16% and it's less trouble.

Do all Targets match TRU, even tho TRU has marked up prices? Or is it YMMV?

Just wait a couple of weeks and check out TRU...yes you'll pay an extra buck or two...but you won't have the stress.

Will it really be a couple weeks? Wave 2 I recall them getting into other stores after TRU in the following week after they first showed up...Maybe my memory fails me.

It could be just a couple of weeks ... but the truth is I don't think anyone really knows when Stink Bomb and friends with hit the other retailers' shelves. It could be just a few weeks, or it could be a month or longer.

I can recall Thumpback and Eye-Brawl being released in very, very small quantities initially about a year ago, and then it took quite some time (more than a month, for sure) before those two Skylanders were readily/easily found.

My guess is that Stink Bomb and Spy Rise could end up following a similar pattern and be quite scarce for a decent amount of time in the USA.

Went to Target this morning with my receipt from Friday. Was able to find the only 3 Swappers they had left: all Hoot Loops. Bought them anyhoo, and immediately returned them using Friday's receipt. Saved $8. Happy.

Called this morning and still no Swappers. I was told to call back this afternoon and see if they get them on FEDEX or UPS. That was also FAIL. I have spoken to 2 regular workers in the Electronic Dept and they both said that they never got any in last week or this week.
I guess my town is a BLACK HOLE.

Still nothing in the tacoma / puyallup area of Washington.

Not sure but didn't lesty say earlier that if we didn't get them at target the 29th that they would be available at all storeswithin a short aamount of time? I thougt I read a week. But I could be confusing all this info. Anyone remember? Ill read through threads when I have time.

Usually most exclusive deals are about a month, but it could possibly be shorter.

Looked at the first page again. Lesty said possibly early January for anywhere else. But he wasn't sure himself on when exactly. Since he doesn't work at those other stores, we'll have to depend on the people who do. Hopefully everyone will get them soon.

I was at Target last night to get a humidifier and peeked at the pegs (already got the new 3 last Friday) and there were about 30 Boom Jets (never saw so many of him at once before!) plus about 6 or 7 Spy Rise. No Rubble Rouser or Stink Bomb.

Spy Rise will probably be the least sold one since technically the only ones needed for 100% completion right now are Rubble Rouser and Stink Bomb.

Technically Stink Bomb was the last one needed to open the sneak gates. We already had Grilla Drilla for dig and Wash Buckler with climb.

Day 4+ and none at the 2 closest stores near me. FAIL FAIL FAIL!!!

Got the three swappers at Olympia Target last Thursday, but everywhere else including TRU has been out in Olympia/Centralia area since.

I've called all 5 stores in a 10 mile radius of Tacoma and still nothing. They got new stock but no new swappers. Let's hope they start popping up in other stores soon.

This is ridiculous! To release a game that you can't even fully complete Months after its release is beyond idiotic! Luckily my boys are as ticked off at Loservision that they don't care if they ever see another skylander. Way to take loyal customers who own every character, and make the idiotic solution to not release at least "Stink Bomb" in enough quantities to satisfy demand! I said it over two months ago that they were doing nothing but setting up scalpers to make big bucks! Know how to stop that? Release enough of your product to meet demand! How stupid do you have to be think that having a TON of customers who would gladly grab all three Swappers, yet can't because you didn't release adequate product is a "good idea"? Idiots!

All the Targets in my area, Hampton Roads, Virginia, have been a fail as well. Hopefully TRU gets them soon.

Is anyone having success in a mid week re-stock? I'm guessing whatever they got in on the first go round was it.

Nothing here. I've been checking nearly every day. One Target near me finally restocked Swappers but it was all Wave 2 stuff. Frustrating.

I think it's fair to say what they got is it and we can all move on and wait for a wider release.

One target did say that in 3-5 days they were getting a very large skylanders shipment. He said 14 boxes. That was yesterday so maybe early to mid next week?

Still nothing in Midland / Odessa Area. We have two stores down here and they have both stated they have not received any in at all. Not sure if that is true or not but still no luck. Sure wish Activision would stop using Target for exclusives. It has been nothing but fails so far for me dealing with them. On Swap Force release day they stated they had none of the Nitro Double packs out and they told me they would stock them on the following Monday. After myself and ten other parents there for strictly that standing there and complaining the Manager looked in the back and pulled them out. I just don't understand wanting to get an exclusive like that but not wanting to take advantage of it. Every time I speak to any of the employees they seem like they could careless and not want to be bothered in looking for them. I mean they even post them in the flyer and don't bother to let there employees know about it. At least if I ask my gamestops in my area they are somewhat familiar with what I am talking about. And if not they will look it up in there system to see if they are expecting them. I get a simple no we don't have that, have a nice day from target. Not Helpful at all.

Second, Target only has as much inventory as the vendor (activision) gives them. What do you want Target to do? Pull them out of thin air?
Would you rather have had Target NOT advertise them, and then just hoped to have heard about it via word of mouth? I'm sure then, you would be upset that Target didn't advertise them, and ranted about how other retailers would have done a better job of getting the word out.

Seriously though...as annoying as this whole Swappers exclusive deal was, if the real fault falls on Activision by short changing Target stores on stock, I think Target should re-evaluate additional exclusives on timed releases with them. While stores put them out ahead of the ad's date, there was no hold date on the boxes. I've excepted that. The real issue was there were no boxes that came in after the fact to replace those boxes.

I would assume that deals like this cost a nice chunk of change, and Activision doesnt just hand them out for free. It sounds like Activision promised filet mignon and delivered ground chuck.

Target also fumbled it by selling the Swappers days before the release date. I was lucky enough to find them the Friday before the Sunday they were set to release. I almost waited until Sunday...
