Got him in about 60ish stones tonight. Spent about 140 in total and didn't get any other alter ego but did get 55k about four or five times.

I got him after using only 63 stones. That is about a third of what it usually takes me. Maybe they made him easier to get to make up for all the wish stones we have missed out on with the Element of the Day problem. I stopped using the well as soon as I snagged him. Only other top prizes I won were 100,000 gold once and one tavern.

It took me 172 and the only top prize I got was 100,000 gold, 5 times.

Wow - took me over 200.

I got 60,000 x 3, a tavern and an egg basket.

It took me 176 stones to get him. That's about average for me.

Since I got him for "free" yesterday, my top prize today is a Magic Shrine. Not worth using any stones, so I guess my 1300 will roll over.

Took me about 150-ish. Got 100K gold 4x, 1 blossom tree, and 1 cocoa stand.

I think it's worth it. You would easily make back the cost. Then you'd be better off if they do something to increase the value of wish stones. The only way you lose out on the deal is if they remove the element of the day bonus for shrines.

If they de-value wish stones, then there's no reason to continue to roll them over.

So.... from my first post I won him in about 60ish stones. I get back on this morning and can not get into gift anyone or get any gifts that have been given to me. It would not establish a connection. So, I restart my phone and come back and Bam... He is gone and so is my progress of about my last hour of playing last night. Stones are about where I expected them to be before I spent them.

So I start throwing them in again and it took me 200 stones this time but got him and Surfer Slam Bam.

I got him in 133 stones. Also a bed and breakfast and 100k a few times.

Took me just over 200 stones to get him. Had around 420 and threw them all in to try and get alter egos but got none. Only thing of note was a fishery. Wife put in around 200 stones and got three alter egos, fishery and tavern. Daughter put in 150 or so stones and got Buddy Wrecking Ball which is the one she wanted the most and was screaming her head off when she got him.

I was shocked when I got him after only 30 stones just after midnight LOL! I don't know if it's worth throwing in my other 200 stones for the alts or to just buy a legendary house. What is the average pay out for the legendary hall?

My poor boyfriend threw in 200 stones and never got him.

It varies on what you put into the hall. From what I have read the higher level skylander you put in the higher payout you get. I think I usually see around 30k in payout for the hall in coins. Maybe 3k in XP. Which if you have the companions that doubles stuff makes it add up quick.

Got him today. I was hoping I would also win the last two alter egos that I'm missing (Boomer and Stump Smash) but no luck. I also won another fire shrine and a few fisheries (My islands have a lot of fisheries now).

I don't think this is right. In my experience the payout from houses is the same regardless of the level of the skylander used. Only the payments from Sanctuaries are impacted by the level of the skylander. If you have a free legendary skylander, I would recommend using your remaining stones to get the hall of legends. Nothing like free (no energy cost) gold/gems/energy/xp. The other argument is that it's rare that they put the old alts back in the well. It's a bird in the hand question. I'd choose the bird in the hand...

I wanted to answer quickly, but then thought more about it. I immediately wanted to say get a Hall of Legends, but then thought about the alter egos in the well. I could understand wanting to keep throwing them in. I did that one time and ended up getting all of the ones I needed (it was one of the first times they put them all in). I think I was lucky, though. After a little more thought, I would still say get a Hall of Legends. A couple of weeks ago, I wouldn't have said that. I would say try for the alts while you can and get a Hall later. But I'm sure in the next actual update (not the programmed ones that we've been getting the last couple of weeks), the Hall of Legends will go back up to 500 gems. I think the 200 wish stones price was an error on their part, and they haven't been in the office to work on fixing bugs and taking out that price. We just got lucky they made the mistake right before they went on vacation. Once they get back and release a new update, I would almost be that the Hall of Legends will go back to 500 gems. Maybe with all the element of the day broken, they may focus on that and forget about the Hall of Legends price, but I doubt it. I'm sure the Hall price will be a quick fix for them. So get a Hall of Legends for wish stones while you can. They've been putting the alts in the well almost once a month or every other month. They'll come back, again.

I'm glad I got all of the alts, already, or I would be upset. My well is still not reset, and I would have wanted to be throwing all my stones in the well, today, to get the new alt and try for the old ones. I may try a few things to see if I can get it to work, again, but I doubt it will be fixed, at least, until the devs send down a new update.

I got him in about 70 stones. No other top prizes, but already have all the other alter-egos, so I'm happy with that.

I finally got a chance to check my son's game and he had a life shrine instead of Countdown. NY Countdown is available for gems but not in the well. We got the shrine because he could use it then tried time travel to see if NYC would show up and nothing.. I thought I read about this in another thread but now I can't find it. Any ideas to get this month's alter ego?

Nope there is nothing you can do. Worse still if they dont fix it, i gather those people will never ever got another alt as it wont click over on the new month. Thats the glitch, it doesnt click over and pick up the new alt , it kust stays stuck on the old one. Owned or not not owned. Doesnt mattter.

This is why unlike others i think they are still catching up on programming after holidays. They cant possibly leave it like this and i believe the collections app proves they want to continue skylands apps.

It's not necessarily a glitch. They programmed the well to avoid the well glitch that gave us all the opportunity to win all the companions, houses and Skylanders in the well. To do that, they programmed the well to keep whatever pops in when you hit the 1st of the next month. So if you jumped ahead to Jan 1 before they programmed in NY Countdown, you get whatever popped in the well. The game then knows you got something in the well for that month, even if it wasn't the alter ego. That keeps us from going back and forth and gettin new items in the well. When it hits Feb 1, the well will reset. It was my theory since the beginning and it seems to be true. Someone else jumped ahead to Feb 1 and was able to get NY Countdown. Some have jumped ahead and got Cupid Flameslinger. So it seems that Cupid Flameslinger is still programmed to pop up in Feb (although that could change between now and then), so if you don't have him, you'll get him in the well. If you do, it puts in NY Countdown. I haven't tested it as I'm afraid I'll break something else in doing it, but it all makes sense to me. With that said, it's not a glitch and is intended. So they don't have to fix it. It would be nice if they would/could, but as it is, it's an intended safe guard for time traveling to gain advantages from the well and if it breaks your well, that's just what will happen when you decide to time travel. I'm willing to accept that as the consequence of doing it. Although if the jumping to the next month seems to fix it, I might consider doing that every month. But I'm going to wait to see. Either to the end of the month or if they release an update that had a wuest for him.

If the issue is only effecting time travelers, I wouldn't be looking for a fix any time soon.
